Go to BGC, Ortigas Center or Makati in the Phillipines and compare it to the top U. S. metro areas. Hong Kong is a bigger, MUCH safer Manhattan and while rents are through the roof you can still afford to eat out regularly. Not true. Anybody can get a SIM card by simply showing a passport. If you want to get a free phone with it or a contract for a longer period, that's different. You can get a one-month subway ticket from a machine without any ID, too. If you want to get the 49-euro ticket or a one-year subscription, you need proof of an address. Banks don't want to be scammed.

I'd also add that Moscow is pretty much well planned city, specifically, within the city there's a subway cobweb covering every corner, new surface trains making a perfect circle, buses, and so on, yet the city is massive, hence it takes time to get somewhere, however, you can estimate your trip accurately. And speaking of air quality, come on man, it also depends on where you live, for instance, I spend my youth and some more in Kuntsevo district (is it called a district?)), it's very green, almost entire area is a one big park zone, and then neighbouring one is called Krylatskoye, there's Moscow river, its "promenade", and park Fili, and past cycling track, etc. For sure, there's something we call "ебеня" like Kapotnya 😅 and there's this toxic congestion 24/7, you don't want to be there. But yeah, this is the idea. I moved out from Russia because of the DAMN COLD 🥶❄️🥶 Even though it's so warm inside, it's also DAMN COLD outside 😂😢 Just noty cup of 🍵. It's 15 minutes by metro to the center or 30 minutes by car. My neighbourhood is greener than the center and Moscow city (skyline). But i can say that it's better air quality if we are comparing with other city. Cause i lived in other big cities. I hate bureaucracy. When I opened an individual entrepreneur, employees filled out the paperwork for me. Even for Russians bureaucracy is tricky. That's why mayor decided to help people. Also you forget to say that we have got the best mayor in the world. He has created the best transport system in the world. And i can see that he's trying to solve all of this problems.

Fun Fact about Russia: It was Russia who saved The Union during the American Civil War as they sent their Navy to San Francisco and New York when England and France were just about to enter the war on the side of the Confederates since London created the Confederates. France was already in Mexico making a spear head movement to resupply the Confederates and to open up a Pacific Theatre and to create a port in California. England already amassed 11,000 troops and growing stationed at their Northern Confederacies border now called Canada ready to open a Northern Theatre to divert Union troops away from their Southern Confederacy then to attack The Unions naval blockade. The Union would have been completely destroyed and annexed by those two great powers leaving the Confederates to exist as either a puppet state of London or to be fully brought back into the fold of the British Empire.
London was already courting (threatening/bribing) other countries to get involved like Spain while Russia was in talks with Prussia to ally with incase London was to intervene.
Seeing all of this Tsar Alexander II wrote a letter to Queen Victoria saying “If you enter in this war it will be a casus belli for all out war with the Russian Empire”. The stage was set for the 1st World War and Russia stopped it.
There is also a memorial in San Francisco for the hundreds of Russian sailors who came off their Asiatic fleet ships that died while helping the city put out a fire that threatened to lay waste to it during the War.

    • @JPJ432
      @JPJ432 7 дней назад +3

The Russian fleet also threatened to Shell Australian ports along with other British Pacific Colonies if Britain aided the Confederates. A confederate war ship spent a lot of time in Australian waters and was supported by the Australian public, some even signing on as crew members. This Confederate war ship laid waist to the US Pacific whaling fleet and is reported to have fired the last shot in the war. The name of the ship was called the CSS Shenandoah. Its surrender was at Liverpool England where Confederate Commander Bulloch was stationed.
Bulloch was the head spy Chief for the Confederates and main go between for London, Montreal, and Richmond. He was heavily involved in the finance of the South with British banking and supplied the south with its warships as most of them were made by the British. He was good friends with those who drafted the Very discriminatory Confederate Constitution and those that would later create the 'Clan'. He was also heavily involved in the assassinations of Lincoln and his cabinet members. He was Also the Uncle to President Theodore Roosevelt (on his mothers side of course) and Teddy greatly looked up to him and learned much from him from a very early age. Teddy called him 'Uncle Jimmy'. This is where Teddy Roosevelt got the idea for the 'Eff Bee Eye' he modeled it almost exactly from Londons 'Em Eye Five'.
Russia also helped Thailand (Kingdom of Siam) maintain its sovereignty from being completely Partitioned/Annexed from the British and French around the same time. The very word Thai (ไทย) means 'free man' in the Thai language which is partially to thank to the Russians as they might have ended up being a colony or part of another country/colony if not for their intervention.

Саня, есть еще минус. Comparing to Paris or London, we in Moscow are now kinda cut off from the global stuff. Hip-hop concerts, streetwear brands, supply of best european cosmetics. It helped us to develop our own cool stuff, but still being able to order your favorite clothing in Europe and attend your favorite artist’s concert is a nice feeling. I mean we used to have Young Thug and Yung Lean and many more, but not anymore. But again, I’m sure post war all this will return to Moscow and our brands will compete with western ones, that would be awesome.

I still remember what Russia is. So thanks but no thanks. Westeners are having a different feeling of what Russian community is. You have this sort of a aura that you see in this community. There's no. It's the same as when I came to Clownada, I felt that people are friendly and courteous and all that. I had the same deceptive feeling about the people, same as you are having right now. Don't buy into that my advice. Right now people in Russia at an age of 30ish, those are all complete braniwashed. I remember 90s and 2000, and believe me people were really street smarter then. Now they have been comforted by media and good years when oil was expensive and some crumbles were getting to them from the oil pie eaten b

Unless you have a cutthroat, selfish lifestyle where you are willing to work yourself to death go for it. This is just my perspective of that city. I do admire its beauty and history but even if I become wealthy in the far future that city is just a place for me to visit. Never ever to live there. You can find similar cities in Russia that are big but don’t have this hustle and bustle lifestyle you mentioned. Like Sevastopol Crimea, Krasnodar, or Habayarsk. And this is just me but if I become a wealthy man, I’d live in Crimea and just live the rest of my life subscription there. Ah yes, the classic “I’m just a dude living in Moscow, definitely not paid by RT” disclaimer-because nothing screams neutrality like starting with a defensive stance. But hey, let’s give you the benefit of the doubt. Let’s dive into your top reasons why Moscow is supposedly the best place on Earth.
    *“Moscow is a world-class city”*
Sure, Moscow is big. No one’s arguing that. But calling it a "world-class city" because people drive Rolls-Royces and G-Wagons? That’s a bit like saying Las Vegas is a cultural mecca because it has a lot of neon lights. I mean, yes, there’s wealth in Moscow-conveniently concentrated in the hands of a few oligarchs and politicians. You see Rolls-Royces; most Russians see the inside of a crowded metro.
    *“Low crime and chill vibes”*
Low crime? In Moscow? That's cute. It’s true you might not get stabbed on your way to Starbucks like in certain parts of the U.S., but you’ve conveniently left out how "crime" works in Russia. You know, like when journalists fall out of windows or opposition leaders get poisoned. But sure, keep flexing about the lack of pickpockets.
    *“Moscow has a ‘hustle culture’”*
I love the comparison to New York’s hustle. Yes, people are "hustling" in Moscow too… mostly trying to figure out how to survive under an authoritarian regime that throws you in jail for attending the wrong protest or posting the wrong thing on social media. Very entrepreneurial!
    *“World-class universities”*
Ah, the Soviet experience, complete with peeling paint and a total disregard for personal space in dorm rooms. And while you’re bragging about Russia’s “world-class” education, let’s not forget that the Russian government is actively rewriting textbooks to erase inconvenient bits of history like, say, Stalin’s purges. But hey, at least you don’t get indoctrinated with “Marxist ideology,” right? Except when you do, but under a new name.
*“Low crime and safe streets, again”*
Wait, didn't we cover crime already? Oh, now it's about how you can walk around with a Rolex and not get mugged. Sure, as long as you steer clear of political dissent or, heaven forbid, speaking out against the government. In which case, you might not get mugged, but you could definitely get "invited" for a chat with the FSB.
    *“Beautiful architecture”*
True, Moscow has beautiful Orthodox churches and historical buildings. And then there's also the delightful Soviet blocks that look like someone thought, "What if we made buildings look like they hate you?" Also, I guess you just get used to that state-sponsored dreariness after a while.
*“It’s warm in the winter thanks to unlimited natural gas”*
Wow, what a perk! Unlimited heat in the winter while Ukraine is being bombed for its energy infrastructure and Europe braces for gas shortages because Russia uses its “unlimited natural resources” as a geopolitical weapon. But sure, it’s cozy in Moscow!
*“Bureaucracy is totally fine now, trust me”*
Good to know Russian bureaucracy is a thing of the past! I’m sure all those Western expats will just glide through the immigration process like butter. Or maybe they'll get stuck in a web of outdated paperwork, arbitrary rules, and officials who may or may not show up on time. But no worries, as long as it’s "online" now. Russia, the land of efficient government services!
So, to sum up: Yes, Moscow is big. Yes, it’s got rich people. But the image you’re painting of Russia is about as accurate as a state-sponsored news broadcast. You can spin all the perks of Moscow life you want, but we all know that behind the shiny cars and pretty churches is a crumbling system propped up by fear, propaganda, and a little too much “hustle” from the government. Enjoy your “Soviet experience”! 😏

Ukrainian bots make their money’s worth. I wonder how he learned to type in bold. Are there any more tricks? Like coloring the text to make it look like you donated? Like using AI to promote certain comments?
On anti-Russia channels, comments with good arguments disappear from the front page after some time and can only be found chronologically. 1. You disprove a popular front-page comment by making an excellent and irrefutable point (or several comments) 2. You wait an hour. 3. You scroll all the way down - and aren't there! You sort the comments by “newest first” - there they are; but no one gets to see them anymore.

I'm russian, living in Moscow and dreaming to move to US, Canada or some european countries. Basically I will pay any price to do it, but still have no luck. I have a manager position in IT company (Head of data analytics), but will wash toilets in US McDonalds for a chance to move there. You will ask me why? I'll tell you - Russia lacks the most important thing ever - freedom. Everything else doesn't matter.

I've done that. Freedom at least in the US is a meme. But indeed go ahead and try! By the way - the American mindset is that you do it yourself, not wait until the opportunity falls into your open mouth. Do you have it?
