This "registration" thing is common across Europe. In Germany, you won't buy a sim card for your phone, let alone open a bank account or buy a monthly metro ticket if you are not officially registered at a specific address.
Not true. Anybody can get a SIM card by simply showing a passport. If you want to get a free phone with it or a contract for a longer period, that's different. You can get a one-month subway ticket from a machine without any ID, too. If you want to get the 49-euro ticket or a one-year subscription, you need proof of an address. Banks don't want to be scammed.
Yeah but in Europe a rental contract is generally enough to get registered, whereas in Russia it’s a pain in the butt. Plus most Russians don’t want to pay any taxes on their rental income (even 4%), so they’re afraid of officially registering someone.

One of the cons of living in Moscow, map apps doesnt work in the center correctly most of the time because of security and conflict. But everything else is nicer then other big cities.
I'd also add that Moscow is pretty much well planned city, specifically, within the city there's a subway cobweb covering every corner, new surface trains making a perfect circle, buses, and so on, yet the city is massive, hence it takes time to get somewhere, however, you can estimate your trip accurately. And speaking of air quality, come on man, it also depends on where you live, for instance, I spend my youth and some more in Kuntsevo district (is it called a district?)), it's very green, almost entire area is a one big park zone, and then neighbouring one is called Krylatskoye, there's Moscow river, its "promenade", and park Fili, and past cycling track, etc. For sure, there's something we call "ебеня" like Kapotnya 😅 and there's this toxic congestion 24/7, you don't want to be there. But yeah, this is the idea. I moved out from Russia because of the DAMN COLD 🥶❄️🥶 Even though it's so warm inside, it's also DAMN COLD outside 😂😢 Just noty cup of 🍵. Anyways, very nice to listen to your perspective on things in Moscow, and Russia in general ❤ keep it up!! ✌️
Keep it up! I spent 2 months in Peter and it was just like Helsinki or Berlin, with a wide range of people of every political or social viewpoint. The only downside is the view count on the clickbait is always going to be higher, especially because sometimes it gets botted up.
Moscow is officially recognized as the greenest megalopolis in the world. Also in Moscow there are so-called "green wedges". This was conceived back in the USSR. These are real forests within the city. There is nothing like this in any other megalopolis in the world. So the statement about the lack of parks is very controversial.
I used to live in Moscow, now in Germany and can second it. Compared to Russia, utilities are crazily expensive here. You can't use as much water, heating, electricity as you want to because you will need to get a loan to pay your bills afterwards.
Thank you for appreciating my home country Russia. It is so underrated when it comes to tourism. Tourism is there but it is not on that level due to negative projections by the West which are exaggrated lies.
Fun Fact about Russia: It was Russia who saved The Union during the American Civil War as they sent their Navy to San Francisco and New York when England and France were just about to enter the war on the side of the Confederates since London created the Confederates. France was already in Mexico making a spear head movement to resupply the Confederates and to open up a Pacific Theatre and to create a port in California. England already amassed 11,000 troops and growing stationed at their Northern Confederacies border now called Canada ready to open a Northern Theatre to divert Union troops away from their Southern Confederacy then to attack The Unions naval blockade. The Union would have been completely destroyed and annexed by those two great powers leaving the Confederates to exist as either a puppet state of London or to be fully brought back into the fold of the British Empire. London was already courting (threatening/bribing) other countries to get involved like Spain while Russia was in talks with Prussia to ally with incase London was to intervene. Seeing all of this Tsar Alexander II wrote a letter to Queen Victoria saying “If you enter in this war it will be a casus belli for all out war with the Russian Empire”. The stage was set for the 1st World War and Russia stopped it. There is also a memorial in San Francisco for the hundreds of Russian sailors who came off their Asiatic fleet ships that died while helping the city put out a fire that threatened to lay waste to it during the War.
The Russian fleet also threatened to Shell Australian ports along with other British Pacific Colonies if Britain aided the Confederates. A confederate war ship spent a lot of time in Australian waters and was supported by the Australian public, some even signing on as crew members. This Confederate war ship laid waist to the US Pacific whaling fleet and is reported to have fired the last shot in the war. The name of the ship was called the CSS Shenandoah. Its surrender was at Liverpool England where Confederate Commander Bulloch was stationed. Bulloch was the head spy Chief for the Confederates and main go between for London, Montreal, and Richmond. He was heavily involved in the finance of the South with British banking and supplied the south with its warships as most of them were made by the British. He was good friends with those who drafted the Very discriminatory Confederate Constitution and those that would later create the 'Clan'. He was also heavily involved in the assassinations of Lincoln and his cabinet members. He was Also the Uncle to President Theodore Roosevelt (on his mothers side of course) and Teddy greatly looked up to him and learned much from him from a very early age. Teddy called him 'Uncle Jimmy'. This is where Teddy Roosevelt got the idea for the 'Eff Bee Eye' he modeled it almost exactly from Londons 'Em Eye Five'. Russia also helped Thailand (Kingdom of Siam) maintain its sovereignty from being completely Partitioned/Annexed from the British and French around the same time. The very word Thai (ไทย) means 'free man' in the Thai language which is partially to thank to the Russians as they might have ended up being a colony or part of another country/colony if not for their intervention.
A likable young man. What he is talking about is believable because it is all documented from other sources. You forgot about traffic jams espessialy during rush hour. Yes, the problem with air is also due to traffic jams in the center. I am living at Elektrozavodskaya station. It's 15 minutes by metro to the center or 30 minutes by car. My neighbourhood is greener than the center and Moscow city (skyline). But i can say that it's better air quality if we are comparing with other city. Cause i lived in other big cities. I hate bureaucracy. When I opened an individual entrepreneur, employees filled out the paperwork for me. Even for Russians bureaucracy is tricky. That's why mayor decided to help people. Also you forget to say that we have got the best mayor in the world. He has created the best transport system in the world. And i can see that he's trying to solve all of this problems.
I disagree about the "not green" part. If it's important to you, just pick the area with parks around. Now it sounds like "I decided to live in the middle of Red Square, and it's just not enough trees". Well... Moscow is one of the greenest larger cities in Europe. Compare to Rome or Barcelona, or Paris. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow#Parks_and_landmarks
Soviet architecture is also beautiful....the parks...come on...the big 7 (sisters, was it?) buildings...I love it! Moscow is a perfect blend and it adequatelly represents a glorious often difficult but nonetheless impressive history. As a mega city yes it can and probably will get greener as it hopefully sustainably develops woth the rest of the country too.
Hey Alexander! Thanx for this so positive vid! Btw i'd like to add Msc has good public transport system. And in terms of traffic we got new roads were built inside the city recently to help us reaching different places in Msc.

Comparing to Paris or London, we in Moscow are now kinda cut off from the global stuff. Hip-hop concerts, streetwear brands, supply of best european cosmetics. It helped us to develop our own cool stuff, but still being able to order your favorite clothing in Europe and attend your favorite artist’s concert is a nice feeling. I mean we used to have Young Thug and Yung Lean and many more, but not anymore. But again, I’m sure post war all this will return to Moscow and our brands will compete with western ones, that would be awesome.

Unless you have a cutthroat, selfish lifestyle where you are willing to work yourself to death go for it. This is just my perspective of that city. I do admire its beauty and history but even if I become wealthy in the far future that city is just a place for me to visit. Never ever to live there. You can find similar cities in Russia that are big but don’t have this hustle and bustle lifestyle you mentioned. Like Sevastopol Crimea, Krasnodar, or Habayarsk. And this is just me but if I become a wealthy man, I’d live in Crimea and just live the rest of my life subscription there. So peaceful, calm, and without the drama and bs of the Muscovite hustle and bustle.

Ah yes, the classic “I’m just a dude living in Moscow, definitely not paid by RT” disclaimer-because nothing screams neutrality like starting with a defensive stance. But hey, let’s give you the benefit of the doubt. Let’s dive into your top reasons why Moscow is supposedly the best place on Earth. *“Moscow is a world-class city”* Sure, Moscow is big. No one’s arguing that. But calling it a "world-class city" because people drive Rolls-Royces and G-Wagons? That’s a bit like saying Las Vegas is a cultural mecca because it has a lot of neon lights. I mean, yes, there’s wealth in Moscow-conveniently concentrated in the hands of a few oligarchs and politicians. You see Rolls-Royces; most Russians see the inside of a crowded metro. *“Low crime and chill vibes”* Low crime? In Moscow? That's cute. It’s true you might not get stabbed on your way to Starbucks like in certain parts of the U.S., but you’ve conveniently left out how "crime" works in Russia. You know, like when journalists fall out of windows or opposition leaders get poisoned. But sure, keep flexing about the lack of pickpockets. *“Moscow has a ‘hustle culture’”* I love the comparison to New York’s hustle. Yes, people are "hustling" in Moscow too… mostly trying to figure out how to survive under an authoritarian regime that throws you in jail for attending the wrong protest or posting the wrong thing on social media. Very entrepreneurial! *“World-class universities”* Ah, the Soviet experience, complete with peeling paint and a total disregard for personal space in dorm rooms. And while you’re bragging about Russia’s “world-class” education, let’s not forget that the Russian government is actively rewriting textbooks to erase inconvenient bits of history like, say, Stalin’s purges. But hey, at least you don’t get indoctrinated with “Marxist ideology,” right? Except when you do, but under a new name. *“Low crime and safe streets, again”* Wait, didn't we cover crime already? Oh, now it's about how you can walk around with a Rolex and not get mugged. Sure, as long as you steer clear of political dissent or, heaven forbid, speaking out against the government. In which case, you might not get mugged, but you could definitely get "invited" for a chat with the FSB. *“Beautiful architecture”* True, Moscow has beautiful Orthodox churches and historical buildings. And then there's also the delightful Soviet blocks that look like someone thought, "What if we made buildings look like they hate you?" Also, I guess you just get used to that state-sponsored dreariness after a while. *“It’s warm in the winter thanks to unlimited natural gas”* Wow, what a perk! Unlimited heat in the winter while Ukraine is being bombed for its energy infrastructure and Europe braces for gas shortages because Russia uses its “unlimited natural resources” as a geopolitical weapon. But sure, it’s cozy in Moscow! *“Bureaucracy is totally fine now, trust me”* Good to know Russian bureaucracy is a thing of the past! I’m sure all those Western expats will just glide through the immigration process like butter. Or maybe they'll get stuck in a web of outdated paperwork, arbitrary rules, and officials who may or may not show up on time. But no worries, as long as it’s "online" now. Russia, the land of efficient government services! So, to sum up: Yes, Moscow is big. Yes, it’s got rich people. But the image you’re painting of Russia is about as accurate as a state-sponsored news broadcast. You can spin all the perks of Moscow life you want, but we all know that behind the shiny cars and pretty churches is a crumbling system propped up by fear, propaganda, and a little too much “hustle” from the government. Enjoy your “Soviet experience”! 😏
Ukrainian bots make their money’s worth. I wonder how he learned to type in bold. Are there any more tricks? Like coloring the text to make it look like you donated? Like using AI to promote certain comments? On anti-Russia channels, comments with good arguments disappear from the front page after some time and can only be found chronologically. 1. You disprove a popular front-page comment by making an excellent and irrefutable point (or several comments) 2. You wait an hour. 3. You scroll all the way down - and aren't there! This "registration" thing is common across Europe. In Germany, you won't buy a sim card for your phone, let alone open a bank account or buy a monthly metro ticket if you are not officially registered at a specific address.
When you move to Germany, you're required by law to register within two weeks; otherwise, you may have to pay a fine.

It's surprisingly refreshing to see a regular American in Russia and not a "my wife divorced me after I gained 100 pounds and western woman are too woke so I moved to Siberia so I could have 10 kids" or "look how many things I can buy in the Russian grocery store, sanctions aren't working" content or the polar opposite of "look how poor babushkas in the village are with their $100 pensions" or "look how if you hold a blank sign up on red square you'll be taken to jail immediately".
I think it is extreme time for the powers in the United States and Canada to take action to reverse the downtrend.
Let's start with the food supply to minimize excessive obesity, cause of endless health problems.

*“Moscow is a world-class city”*
Sure, Moscow is big.
*“Low crime and chill vibes”*
Low crime?
*“Moscow has a ‘hustle culture’”*
I love the comparison to New York’s hustle. Yes, people are "hustling" in Moscow too… mostly trying to figure out how to survive under an authoritarian regime that throws you in jail for attending the wrong protest or posting the wrong thing on social media. Very entrepreneurial!
*“World-class universities”*
Ah, the Soviet experience, complete with peeling paint and a total disregard for personal space in dorm rooms.
*“Low crime and safe streets, again”*
Wait, didn't we cover crime already? Oh, now it's about how you can walk around with a Rolex and not get mugged. Sure, as long as you steer clear of political dissent or, heaven forbid, speaking out against the government. In which case, you might not get mugged, but you could definitely get "invited" for a chat with the FSB.
*“Beautiful architecture”*
True, Moscow has beautiful Orthodox churches and historical buildings. And then there's also the delightful Soviet blocks that look like someone thought, "What if we made buildings look like they hate you?" Also, I guess you just get used to that state-sponsored dreariness after a while.
*“It’s warm in the winter thanks to unlimited natural gas”*
Wow, what a perk! Unlimited heat in the winter while Ukraine is being bombed for its energy infrastructure and Europe braces for gas shortages because Russia uses its “unlimited natural resources” as a geopolitical weapon. But sure, it’s cozy in Moscow!
*“Bureaucracy is totally fine now, trust me”*
Good to know Russian bureaucracy is a thing of the past!
You sort the comments by “newest first” - there they are; but no one gets to see them anymore.
@@MClark-kf9wq Are you aware that Internet exist in other countries too (not only in Ukraine) . The other ... civilized countries who does not support criminal maniac.....

@@MClark-kf9wq Ah yes, the old "Ukrainian bots are behind everything" theory-classic. Bold letters? Truly the cutting edge of warfare, right? As for AI, if it’s promoting comments like yours, I’d say it needs a tune-up. And about those disappearing "excellent" arguments-maybe they vanish because they don’t hold up when the facts are checked? Just a thought. Also, sorting by "newest first" might reveal something even more shocking: it’s called time. But hey, your comments won’t go missing on RuTube for sure-maybe it’s time to switch!

but you DID interviews with RT and you have connections there. so I call BS, you are on their payroll
you are a total idiot 🙄 lololol 😄
Moscow is cool. I would live there but I don't recognise your description of London at all. Londoners are from all regions and it's possible you don't understand English as spoken by the English with all our accents.
Dude if they pay you I gonna come from uk work In Moscow and make videos for some dollar anyway everything else is cheaper my friends told me 😂can rent my flat here pay mortgage propably and pay rent there lol
I get it you like where you live at now. I think you’re too much in love with yourself. 🇺🇸 👋
disagree with you about worldclass universities...we had to study a lot of garbage things that is absolutely useless... all of those classes were required. studying at university turned out to be a waste of time. A completed degree and even knowledge don't garantee that you can find a job in your field. I'd rather take educational loan to be better educated and have perspectives.
Even if the items were useless, they enhance a person's self-development
