    About the X6, he's actually talking about the black Rolls-Royce Phantom X6.
    "Black X6, -Phantom. White X6 look like'a panda."
    It's more or less a brag about having 2 of the same expensive car in 2 different colors.... like a panda. One presumably to "pull up" and handle his business in as it were. Then the other that's either just for show, or for blending in with during the day. I think it might also be a double entendre as well. There's a stylized panda ski-mask (like the one at the end of the video) that's become popular with the "weird looking thug aesthetic" crowd. Especially amongst those that frequent sites like Tumblr, where rappers like Future and Desiigner thrive.
    As a side note, even though he didn't say it, "Life Designer" could be clever if he used it in the proper context. Especially within a song that's as braggy as this one. Example:
    "Influential like a god, I'ma a young Life Designer
    Greatest all time, all time bend to me...
    Bitches take a knee on'a cypher with the sire,
    Catch a gut check, cash it in like retirement."
    He'd have to slow down his flow to something more akin to Pusha T's on "Unbreakable," or even make it choppy like Migos' on "Chinatown," but it would still work. :)

      I'm thinking he was right with the choppa being gun, and oscar tying into being grouchy, and you're right with Grammy being a gram. So it in essence means "I shoot people who try to steal my drugs" or something like that.

    I think "choppa goes Oscar for Grammy" might be referencing the need for rappers to talk about using guns in order to further their musical career. Hear me out: So violence and action in movies is generally well-received and leads to a movie doing well, and the "chopper" mentioned the song is being used for violence much like the way one would make a big impact in a movie. Now why is it going 'oscar'? For grammy. So to translate it's being used in this way for the sake of obtaining a grammy by talking about this action in the song. However desiigner isn't very bright in most of his other lyrics so I know this might not be his intended point, but i'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Quote from TMZ: "According to the docs, Desiigner said he was aroused by the flight attendant and "kind of showed her, showed her, un, 'the magic stick. ' ... thinking it would give her "encouragement." BTW -- Desiigner claimed he wasn't under the influence, saying he was prescribed meds in Thailand but hadn't been taking them." Which is one of the more bizarre stories I've heard. Guy straight up MeToo'd a flight attendant in front of a plane full of people.

    He's clearly done mixtapes.
    And in "father stretch my hands" the narrative is that the father destroyed his family in the pursuit of wealth and Desiigner's verse in this context is about how a younger man (the son) is pursuing money with gunplay and drugs and he's going pretty good for him self. But that is of course destroying his life in another way.
    And how he's rhyming is pretty clever and unique. His subject matter isn't anything new but he has a real style that makes ut very clear that he's written many songs and done mixtapes. He's totally beyond Future in lyrically.

      Well life determines your taste in music like growing up in a nice neighborhood (with mostly whites) will usually mean you like hip hop and basically white music. Hanging with black people (the hood) usually means more fast type song like rap.

      Michael Arballo I heard him talk about the impossible kid on a podcast on youtube, apparently he likes his stuff. I'd like a more indepth look into stuff like Float, Music for earthworms and even daylight, or the blob.

    "Chopper goes Oscar for Grammy" Means that his fully automatic weapon will "act" for "singers." "Act" meaning the gun will fire and "singers" is also what you would call a "snitch" or someone who does a crime with you and tells the police what you were both doing.

    • @JaydenLand
      @JaydenLand 8 лет назад +3

      Thought it might have meant the choppa (street life) goes Oscar (main stage/blockbuster production) for Grammys. Like being a street thug has been glamor-ized and become so Hollywood just so musicians can get respect and rewarded. But I doubt he put that much thought into it. You're probably right

    "That Choppa go Oscar for Grammy"- his gun will act out for drugs. Wordplay.

  • @zoekirk1848
    @zoekirk1848 5 лет назад +2

    Maybe “the chopper go Oscar for Grammys” could be a really complicated wordplay, since the Oscars and Grammys are both prestigious awards, but then Oscar could also mean angry like Oscar the Grouch, and Grammy could mean a gram of something i.e. getting in a shootout over drugs being a high-risk-high-reward situation

    Desiigner may have only 3 songs recorded but he apparently wrote/sold hooks for other rappers, watch the before desiigner was famous
