Writing is an art. Whether it be a script/song/poem/book it needs a talent. Nowadays the trend is for a director to write their own films because they don't want anyone interfering with their script, and because of this it fails. Not because they don't have good ideas, but because they lack good writing skills. Just like an editor is just as important. Without the editor all you have is a bunch of shots. With a good editor you create a film. Good editors are being sought out for. But for writing directors try kill two birds with one stone. Please directors hire efficient writers to overlook and shape your ideas on paper. The film gains a lot more clarity and power.
