Good info. Exactly what I was thinking. Bulgaria, Georgia and Azerbaijan r definitely a good alternative, especially if u can stay for 3 to 6 months at a time.

Thanks, appreciate your thoughts. The advantage of permanent residency is to have more security of the right to stay then just the tourist visas do. Having a homebase which you can customize to yur needs is crucial imho. If you move around - as you said - with 3 month here and there, you will always have to struggle with the search of a good (quality, price) accomodation. This is especially in the time when you want to enjoy the specific country for climate reasons. I experienced it in Thailand in the high and end of high season where it was (nearly) impossible to find a rent for a monthly stay. It will be the same in Turkiye if you only rent short terms (1-3 month) i guess. A perpetual stress which brings people to think about permanent residencies/homebases 😉

Dubai is a mirage, much like a social media "influencer." Very shinny on the outside but toxic on the inside.
Personally, I don't plan to live in Turkey but I am getting a citizenship through deposit, as the residency process is very fickle.
