Did you know that the Josh Reddick Foundation, led by MLB player Josh Reddick, has built a beautiful baseball stadium for children with special needs in our county of Effingham Georgia. It cost $1 millions to build the stadium. The stadium features artificial turf and handicapped-accessible dugouts, making it the only fully accessible baseball field for children with special needs in the area. The county has generously provided the land for this stadium as part of the Clarence E. Morgan Complex, which also includes various baseball fields, a new basketball stadium, and a gym. Despite our county's financial challenges, we are making progress by reopening a gym for travel and rec basketball. Springfield Central High School, a once-segregated school for black students, has a rich history of winning state championships and is now a historic building. Additionally, our county is investing millions of dollars into a 15-year Comprehensive Recreation and Parks Plan. We have known Josh for most of his life. He and my daughter "Dated" in middle school.
