I’m 38 and only remember her because of Selena. That was an amazing movie, she did great. I think that she’s trying way too hard. Her talent is dancing. She was a backup dancer before Selena movie. She should have spent her time investing in a studio and teaching other to dance. It would have went a long ways and that would have been her being true to herself. Just my opinion.

My father is Puerto Rican from the south Bronx. The time he was able to escape the Bronx in the 70s was a war zone and literally burning down. My grandparents escaped a similar situation in the US COLONY of Puerto Rico. To be able to get out of that neighborhood ALIVE and to be successful is truly a miracle and an inspiration. If you can’t see it from her perspective then move on because the message isn’t for you. I watched the doc after seeing everyone hate on it so hard and honestly, like yeah JLo is a little distanced from reality but I liked the documentary. She felt something impactful when looking back on her life and where it had brought her, romantically and otherwise. And due to that feeling she wanted to spend 20mil on a film because the story was beautiful to her. Wpuld I do that shit? FUCK NO Jenny, I got bills to pay. But that one clip of her hair is out of context and is way worse than when you see it in context. In that moment during the documentary she had been working on choreography for scenes about that time in her life. It's not like she was just taking her hair out and talking about the Bronx for no fucking reason lmaooo. People just want a punching bag. I found it meaningful when she talked about not loving herself and being really afraid to do the project. I’m 38 and only remember her because of Selena. That was an amazing movie, she did great. I think that she’s trying way too hard. Her talent is dancing. She was a backup dancer before Selena movie. She should have spent her time investing in a studio and teaching other to dance. It would have went a long ways and that would have been her being true to herself. Just my opinion.
There’s a WHOLE Story as to why she became a singer which has to do with Mariah Carey’s first es husband who was the CEO of a major record label (possibly Sony?) and when he and Mariah divorced he kind of brought JLo in to really try and replace her.

My father is Puerto Rican from the south Bronx. The time he was able to escape the Bronx in the 70s was a war zone and literally burning down. My grandparents escaped a similar situation in the US COLONY of Puerto Rico. To be able to get out of that neighborhood ALIVE and to be successful is truly a miracle and an inspiration. If you can’t see it from her perspective then move on because the message isn’t for you. I watched the doc after seeing everyone hate on it so hard and honestly, like yeah JLo is a little distanced from reality but I liked the documentary. She felt something impactful when looking back on her life and where it had brought her, romantically and otherwise. And due to that feeling she wanted to spend 20mil on a film because the story was beautiful to her. Wpuld I do that shit? FUCK NO Jenny, I got bills to pay. But that one clip of her hair is out of context and is way worse than when you see it in context. In that moment during the documentary she had been working on choreography for scenes about that time in her life. It's not like she was just taking her hair out and talking about the Bronx for no fucking reason lmaooo. People just want a punching bag.
I found it meaningful when she talked about not loving herself and being really afraid to do the project. She second guessed herself the entire time and said the project could lokely fail but she wanted to tell her love story/journey to self love on the off-chance it would mean something to someone else.
