I don't get what's great about Russian ones. But you do you. Until the last poster, I just realized, sometimes the creative direction is being interrupted by the government/higher ups. So that's why at the end things that make posters great were off. My two cents though...
With all respect to the artist, I found myself disappointed with the Qatar World Cup poster. The tournament holds a special place as my favorite World Cup, yet I struggled to find any connection with this particular poster. In contrast, I've enjoyed and appreciated the posters from previous World Cups, each of which seemed to capture the spirit and essence of the event. Unfortunately, this poster just didn’t resonate with me in the same way.
Can't believe the South Africa poster was not higher! Great video Matt 👍 Have you seen the 'Fifa Uncovered' series on Netflix? Talks about the corruption within the organisation and highlights how Argentina '78 was so controversial due to the dictatorship at the time and how the world cup was used to 'gloss over' the government's criminal and murderous actions. At least they had a good poster though 😂
