I am with you…. Planning to buy toward end of year and make my move after remodel complete, about March April next year. This apt is good price - needs updates and could be so beautiful. Hate saying but I would remove white tile flooring because it’s so very cold in winter. Long ago I had granite flooring and counters in kitchen, hallway to front door and dining room g room- and swore never again because I hated going out to make coffee every single morning in winter as I would freeze. Or if put new tile, I’d place floor heating UNDER the tile… and I’ve learned people like this product as it works. Julie from Italy renovated her home with tile that looks like wood~ I’d go w/possibly a rustic wood laminate or decide a wood tile like she used too. Love the little nook upstairs to make into storage or big closet too. We can never have enough storage, right? I’ve always thought when sing wardrobe in bedroom- they are not large enough for my clothes. Thing DOWNSIZING is the key… but usually seems so difficult to do. This house with that view- is something you’d never tire of.

Like this home… my mind just thought crazy question…. WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE THAT YOU COULD BUILD A SMALL ROOM ON THE TERRACE? Not that I would do this as I love the large terrace and want terrace… mostly wonder if any home owners have ever done something like this?? And IF city will say yes to permit this… or not? Thank you Reno… just found you and will now subscribe. Love Italy. I also like bare stone walls & wonder if can remove plaster to see stone on inside? And yes, I would make lower bedroom into living room!
It is certainly possible to remove the plaster inside and expose the stones. I do not think it is possible to close the terrace. You would have to ask for a permit from the technical office of the municipality but in a historic center I doubt they will give you such a permit.

oh yes! especially in medieval villages all the houses have stairs! It seems like a bad thing, but in reality it keeps us young! 😀 In the village there are a supermarket, bakery, greengrocer, butcher, pizzerias, bars, ice cream parlor, pharmacy, clothes shops, tobacconist, laundry, household goods shops, flower shop, pastry shop, restaurants, bank, post office, doctors, dentist and a small hospital district for blood tests and other checks. About 20-25 minutes away is the university hospital of Chieti Scalo.

Everyone seems to understand so it seems it's your issue with the accent? We also struggle to understand people from Wales, Scotland for example, but we make an effort. you can park 100 meters from the property. There is a large and free parking.
The nearest hospital is in Chieti, about 20-25 minutes from the house.
Mammarosa is a good hotel, it has great food and ice cream too!! yum yum When I visit Pretoro I go there. 😅😅😅
