The latest version allows DJs to access Dropbox and Beatsource LINK services directly from any Engine OS device. Engine OS v1.6 also adds stacked waveform view for dual-layer mixing on media players and two highly requested features: flexible beat grids and track preview for all products. Accompanying Engine OS is an Engine PRIME desktop update that adds Dropbox integration, flexible beat grid support, macOS 11 Big Sur compatibility, Serato DJ Pro and rekordbox beat grid import (static & dynamic) as well as several additional usability improvements and stability enhancements.

duel waveform is the best feature when using only 1 player. cant live without it

Awesome update. One of the last pieces missing is for Engine Prime to update any changes you make within your harddrive (i.e. moving songs between folders).

Hoping this is seen by Denon and routed to the Engine DJ software developers. Please please PLEASE add a sorting feature in the Engine DJ software (PC & Mac) to show all missing tracks in the library (red tracks). This would make it so much easier for library management without having to use other software like Lexicon. Thank you! ^_^
Thank you i have been patiently waiting for preview on my prime 4. This was one of the most important features i used on virtual dj. Preview a song before it's loaded such a useful feature. Now I only bring my laptop for back up or, VJ, Karaoke events.

Hopefully this means I can finally fix my tracks that are read at the wrong bpm. Tired of these tracks getting read at 139.9 when they are clearly 140 and the grid falls off. Good thing I know how to beatmatch by ear.
I just installed the update, and no you can't edit the BPM manually on the players...so we're what like 3 years in now and the most requested feature is a no-show?

is there a video showing how to set up your usb stick drives to load music onto ? i see all these more advanced vids on prime, but nothing that explains how to set up your drives to load music
when i first put my usb thumb drive into the prime 4 it made a folder " engine library with a bunch of 1 to 3 letter database files.... do i make my music folders in here ? would be nice to have a beginner tutorial on this.
When Denon DJ SC6000M will arrive in Canada? I paid for a device in December and I did not get it yet. The contact form from the Denon website is not working. How can I contact Denon???

Hi, im about to receive my Denon SC-5000M- & wanted to know if I'll be able to update the software, using the "Wi-Fi Option" within the device itself?? Add stems (spleeter based or NI file support) and then we will have something new. At this point I prefer DjPlayer/Djay Pro on iDevices which are going to grow over new Apple Silicon with new powerful features like NeuralMix… what do you say Denon?

Only shows the other layer of the same player, not waveforms of any other player. Good if you only have one SC5000.

great concept multimedia player which still need to do a lot to compete with "big" brand can music be added via USB ? Can I create playlists by dragging / drop (this works 50% of the time) music from a folder or highlighted elements in Prime ?
Would it be convenient to create playlists on computer and Wirelessly upload them onto the drive ? The list is longer and the sky is the limit. collection of 24.000 techno tracks is a pain when working with non responding Prime , creating playlists on anything over 1K in one crate seem impossible , lack of fields. would be good if I we have option to display tracks within certain range (ie: 6A - 8A and at the same time 120 - 125bpm) why is it always one at the time ? those are only few things I have noticed in the last 17 hours of using it , as earlier said - list of possible improvements is long (sync inserted SSD with my music stationary HDD is essential , I don't want to be forced to pay on top for Beatport) just download content , back it up and create 1:1 mirror on Denon sc6000 player SSD . is that possible ?

At this point I'm creating a bracket that houses another display and make a holder for a mini pc to run virtual DJ.
I'll attach it to my SC6000 or x1850 mixer.
At this price point we should be getting cross player waveforms and full 16 beat phase count bars (without SYNC having to be on). Virtual DJ it is. At least there's PC mode... Hmph.

It would be nice if they ever release a decent batch so people can actually use these before the whole world goes up in flames ,, come on Denon seriously
Still can't edit the BPM on the players, making looping and anything else not work because you can't turn quantize off on the looping...it's insane that they keep doing all of these updates without including by FAR the most requested feature update. MAKE BPM EDITABLE ON THE PLAYERS.
And again no extra zoom out for the waveforms😑😣

I am sure it will come in a future update. I waited 9 months for Preview on my prime 4. So just hang in there, i am sure they will work on it. Progress takes time.

I've never use any Denon gear but I would like to know what database problems there are. Just incase I plan to buy one in the future
Alright....Not to be an ungrateful brat but can we finally see a proper way to sync visuals to resolume and/or Ableton link? This essentially differentiates the prime units from a wedding djs toy, and a serious machine with immense possibilities that can truly be the center piece of any club, festival etc. Timecode is and I repeat NOT A VIABLE OPTION. Besides the prime 4 being ambigously advertised to make people think they are compatible, in reality they aren't. Most VJs use video loops not crappy pop videoclips to be synced with the tracks. Making potentiometers, effects etc influence the visuals is very practical and doesn't require a person standing there guessing your every move. Furthermore although the x1800 and x1850 have a midi out, they are basically limited to analogue drum machines, so someone wishing they could use the sound card and midi controller they use to produce can't be brought in the booth to try new and creative ways to mix. Sorry for the rant, and I hope Jason could see this comment.
P.S don't get me wrong I absolutely love my Prime 4, and if I could afford it I would instantly buy a 6000 pair, this really is the future of Djing, and I know you are bombarded with demands wants and what not constantly, but this is Quintessential!!!!!
