No matter how hard Debbi Peterson, Susanna Hoffs, and especially Vicki Peterson try to wipe out Michael Steele's credentials and revision the Bangles history, she won't be forgotten.

Five stars-it's all about Micki. ;) She's in lovely voice here and plays guitar,not her usual bass,a pretty uncommon sight. Wonderful stuff.

Mickey had the most haunting voice, emotional and soul-piercing. I liked the Bangles but the they are not the Bangles without her.

I always liked Michael voice the best. Too bad she didn't have more lead opportunities. Her song "Following" was my favorite.
I love all the gurls, especially Sue; but I have to admit that there is a huge part missing from their sound without Michael! This song is such a beautiful and haunting tune (the acoustic really emphasizes that). I hope she can bring herself to perform again sometime.

What a treat. As hard rockin' as this cut is on the album, this version is just as wonderful. And Bangles live acoustic, just as great as any of their other live work. Gotta say it again, Why has their live work never been issued as an album?! Talk about missing the boat...... And this is at BORDER BOOKS ?! What?!...... Thanks for this gem. And thanks Bangles yet again for touching me so.......

Micki is my favorite bangles! I actually have loved the bangles because of her. (Sorry for saying this) but I would honestly say that I love their songs.. but without her, I might not feel the same about the Bangles. I like Micki's voice. I like her backup voice as well. I like her singing some of their songs... I love her big, sweet, beautiful voice and to top it all, her face- she is so beautiful! I've never seen any woman as beautiful as her. Her face is God's creation and a one-in-a-million!
I wish she got married and have children that look like her but :(

Ah, 2003. I miss that year. College, living in the big city, no bills, and most importantly, The Bangles with Michael in the lineup.
Probably my favorite track off "Doll Revolution".
This is so great. At least we got one more album & performances from the Fab Femme Four before Michael walked. This was such a great song & miss Michael, but it's great these performances were captured.

This is great! "Between the Two" is one of my favorite tracks on that album. It rocks so hard!
Off topic; I love Michael Steele as much as the next guy, but I think it's more than a little silly/childish to think there is some kind of conspiracy to 'wipe out her credentials' or whatever.

It's been 13 years since she left the group. No one except Vicki I believe is in contact with her. On one the RUclips videos put up, an old friend of hers said they spoke with her 2 years ago and that she was happy and doing fine.

@booksandmypapers How can you tell whose execution is better? There are 2 acoustic guitars and one electric one, all mixed into one sound.
True. The ladies are very underrated musicians. Micki was not just a good bassist. And I have observed Susanna from close up on some videos and she is a very decent rhythm guitarrist. Many people think that rhythm guitar is just playing the chords. You have to have a percussionist's feel to play good rhythm, and probable Susanna's dance background (ballet as a kid, and majored in dance at UC Berkeley) gives her that feel.
Vick is very competent at lead guitar, maybe not a Hendrix or Slash, but no slouch either. And Debbi is a very solid drummer and also plays guitar. Love them all.
And I miss Michael, too.
Micki (and Debbi) were the finest singers in the band.
But Micki is BY FAR the best vocalist.

@Joseph Rivett - my two favorite Bangles! The backbone and total team players. I die for Micki’s ohs and ahs in backup singing. This vid really showcases her smooth voice. Too bad Debbi had little lead singing opportunities. I think Be With You is fantastic and may be the best lead singing of any Bangle song IMHO.
Their worst songs were their hits.
