Another super idea from a fire extinguisher ruclips.net/video/HWIUAUE6-t0/видео.html
I might have to try that. I have everything to do it but the time
It's a smoker skip to 7.15 for finished product

I have three old fire extinguishers. All three of them are aluminum. :(
I like that one. If you could get it to play that music every time you used it that would be even better lol
For anyone who has all the tools--and the experience-- and a bunch of old stuff laying around--and a lot of time--this looks like a fun thing to do. For anyone missing any of those, not so much.
Just a few minutes every evening and you could have one in about 27 years.
Don't get me wrong, it is well made and looks great, but it's way more flat stock than fire extinguisher
I'll just go buy a big one that way I don't have to waste my time putting on and taking off 3 sausages over and over everytime people come over

Amazing what can be done with thousands of dollars worth of tools, skill, practice, time, motivation, creativity, and a vast supply of just the right materials.
You’ve got skills as a fabricator. However, I’m not sure that ending up with such a small smoker was worth all the work.
Also the source of heating coming from one side only will pretty sure cook very unevenly through the grill
Glad I didn't waste my time watching it all. Ty.
@@youssefkorayem that's just the way that style of smoker works
It would be fine for one or two people, I suppose. Could be useful for outings like camping where bringing something small like that would be easy.

Easy peasy. Worth the effort and thousands in tools and materials.
All I need now is about $2500 to buy the tools and a welder to make one.
@Mike Dale I have a harbor Fright in town. The real problem is the fact I don’t have the skills to do that kind of work or the patience. I admire guys who do. When I lose my temper trying to do the best I can that’s where the real 2500 comes in.

Como lavar porta de alumínio
I used to work as a lathe operator in a machine shop. Two of the guys that worked there made these out of old propane cylinders that were tossed into the scrap pile. The owners at first told them go help themselves to the scraps and the two would use their lunch time to cut and weld as well as fabricate other scrap metals to make these mini pits. They became very popular with the fishing community because they were light and compact to be put in the trunk of a car and taken to the beach or the river to fish and make make hot dogs, burgers or cook your catch. They sold a few to some of us and just by word of mouth orders started coming in from local anglers. It all came to an end when the owners of the shop caught wind of the amount they were selling and demanded a cut from the sales.
As a builder of smokers myself, I have say I love this , it is really cute !! And it does work

The man is an artist. Period.
I really appreciate people with talents. It's not about practicality, although it works, take it as creative art.
I saw an artist who spend tens of thousands of dollars and thousands of hours building a "musical instrument" where he dropped balls on some contraptions and the balls ran down the length of the extravagantly elaborate, making some "musical sounds"... a contraption that was so prone to errors, due to the endless angles and joints of the various tentacles... you could only "play" for a brief time and the whole contraption just got very tedious. SOMETHINGS just don't deserve that much time, energy, or resources!
Talent? He had to grind his horrible welds down 😂

Pretty cool . I welded for a lot of years . He has pretty good skills. One thing I noticed is the use of a grinder. I was taught how to use a cutting torch. I got really good with one . I worked in a welding shop back in the late 60’s through to the early 80’s . If my shop Forman caught me using a grinder to cut up the pieces to make the stove he would of taken my head off . I can hear him now “ do you think them blades grow on trees “ he was really skilled journeyman and I learned lots working under his mentor ship. We did everything production pipe line our expertise was building fuel tanks. We went across the Arctic building tanks. Really remote settlements up past the Arctic circle. I think the furthest place we did a tank was in Resolute Bay. A grinder in our shop was used to clean up a weld or clean up a spot to weld too . Times have changed and I see the guy is pretty good with the grinder or cutting wheel . Not putting him down just stating how times have changed.
It's a little harder for the home hobbyist to acquire an oxy torch
I haven’t managed to make a clean cut with a cutting torch. I bought a $200 plasma on amazon and it works great until 5mm
Ä
Ä
Oxy-Acetylene rigs are expensive. You can a whole hell lot of cut off discs for the price of one. Not to mention the cost of filling your tanks. Not to mention the time it takes to drag out the rig...having said that, I’d love to have a cutting rig to complement my plasma cutter. 😃
Interesting. I would have loved to travel to those sites and work on building tanks.
Love the idea of using chain links for hinges, awesome, adopted.
You build or not, it's great to watch an expert work the materials and tools. I gave a thumbs up. We'll done.
As a man with zero metal working experience, I find this utterly fascinating
See how he does! tries very hard: ruclips.net/video/Jh2umGsEYHc/видео.html
This guy and these types of channels that don’t show them actually welding (not just the tacks) don’t know how to actually even weld, so really nothing they’re doing is all that crazy, really anyone with a bit of ambition and a little YouTubing could figure out. These guys though just tack super close to the next to give the appearance of a formal weld. It works ish but it really requires no skill so as I said really anyone could do this with enough ambition and not being completely hopeless with anything crafty lol
@@harrisong5023 Ok. It's all foreign to me lol. I'm really enjoying the channels where guys are forging knives and things like that from old scrap metal or Damascus steel. It looks fun to the nth degree

Tack welding a couple chain links to make hinges is a complete waste of time, effort, and materials. They will make very weak hinges and take far more effort than just buying a couple of hinges from the hardware store. The only reason to use chain links as hinges is if you're hellbent on pretending you live in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where proper parts no longer exist.
