Powerful segment. We as men need to be able to express these kind of emotions amongst each other without judgment more often. All of you handled this moment perfectly. You gave him a safe space to release those feelings. Salute.
Well said!
Exactly. He's a real humble dude.
Powerful indeed! This segment touched my heart.
We don't need to speak on it, just do it and we good. And if anything, reticule those who try to diss those for being trill yell
word life
I feel this. Some people don't want the fame. They just wanna make whatever their art is and be left alone
Yep but it be so good that it grab the worlds attention
Salute this brother 🙏 🙌 we know wassup with this industry
that's me
@@demolishbeatz3796 thats all of us. I thought i was an anomaly for a long time but I been peepin a lot of n us not interested in the fame. Respect
@@gangstaslim852 facts brother
Damn rock, thank you. 23 year old me would be like “WHY?” 43 year old me is taking this to heart. Thank you everyone.
I’ve struggled my entire life feeling exactly this way. I’m a background dude with front runner abilities. I’ve spent a large part of my life trying to figure out how to attain the level of success I desire without having to be in the limelight.
I can relate....here's to figuring it out👊
Same here
“I’m a background dude with front runner abilities” that’s a bar. Real shit though
I fucking hate lineöightt

DUDE IS SOO HUMBLE.. THANK YOU FOR THIS HOFFA!
Real stuff here
Very HUMBLE
@@emekaoparah8665 absolutely my brother!
Math Hoffa , this needs to go on a bigger stage! Revolt T.V. , Show time, HBO. This is true media enlightenment!
“I was afraid of success because I never wanted to die..” That’s some deep shit right there. Glad he found what worked best for him and did that!
He scared of the blood sacrifice
💯
They did sacrifice ODB. Methodman knows all about it
I've known this man for over 20 years!! He's like a big brother to me, I'm now in my 40s and I cannot express how proud of him I am, not just as a lil bro that he knew I looked up to, but as a fan as well.
I just ran into at a spot north of ATL the other month. Was chopping it up with him for like 30 min before I got told who he was 😂😂😂 man cool OG
Solid Clip ! Rockwilder almost had me crying .. There's a lot of people out there that are super nice with it and don't push themselves like they should cause they're afraid of the success as well. I definitely respect his honesty. 💯💪🏽🕵🏽♂️
That type of fame is mind boggling.
Perfectly described me I had a chance to do a song with a up & coming rapper I can’t across on MySpace & turned it down cause she wanted 2,000 back in 2006. I had it but felt like she wasn’t worth 2k. Long story short. I tried to get the verse again in 2007 but it was too late my she had already blown up & signed with Waka & Gucci team NICKI FKN MINAJ!! 🤦🏿♂️ 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
@@TheBiggest7.62 I feel you , I know I fight myself with this shit personally, and I have a homie that have Millions of streams on Spotify, great spitta and won't get out the house to do shows at all . And the last time we toured, he did his best to sabotage everything. 💯🕵🏽♂️
“Did that traumatize you?” Yo math at that moment knowing to be silent and let the question breathe and allowing rock to fully come into that space, your journalistic instinct grew exponentially….shout out to all you men for not over talking one another and being articulate and confident examples of expression… You MATH are showing young black Men a wonderful example of Growth and the evolution… A new day for the expressive black man is upon us….You Sir deserve every accolade bestowed upon you….GREAT JOB MATH and Fellas!!!!
Aye imagine Nore in that moment ...lol he'd be the total opposite
Word
I LOVE Rockwilder!!! He’s so genuine and honest about his life. And him being vulnerable was absolutely beautiful ❤️ and God bless Math Hoffa for all he’s doing for hip hop culture. Amazing 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It's great to see legends have a platform to speak their truth.
Plenty of platforms out there. Instagram can be the same way,but people front a lot.
True, but the convos they have here are really insightful.
Especially one thats run by real rap heads.
Man. You ain't never lied. Hadme tearing . Good to see these brothas intelligence. And soul. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
A refreshing perspective from a HIp Hop Legend. Not about the fame. Just the love and legacy
Ikr. Appreciate the transparency
Man. Bruh. There’s so much I want to say. His comments are life changing. What I have to acknowledge is the environment that Math and the fellas created for that moment to happen. Asking the right question is a science, establishing the energy for authentic responses is an art. ✊🏾
Facts and well said
This dude Rockwilder is really under appreciated in the hip hop production conversation... he's one of the 🐐. I have a new found respect for him after seeing this build.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much this man just touched my soul… What a great man, what a great soul. Nothing but respect and admiration for him. Thank you for sharing this with me. 🙏🏼👏🏼
This a real Man rite here for real he bared his soul and this is therapy for him.
Shoutout to the entire show, a grown man starts crying and everybody cared enough to make sure he was good instead of teasing or making him feel weird for being emotional. I haven't cried in years and it's no longer by choice, men carry alot and never let it out. SALUTE MEO
It's dumb. Let it out. Who care what anyone say? You gotta let it out, brother. It frees you so much afterwards. It's alright. Tired of this stigma that you are soft because you cried. Everybody has to cry sometimes. It becomes a problem when you keep it in. Brother, I know you don't know me from a bag of dirt but I am telling you. If you left like you can't let it out, I will listen to you without judgment. Never bottle all that emotion inside. Ever
@@handsomedubbledee I totally agree, I used to hold it in when I was younger and I've done that for so long the tears just stopped coming. I'm no longer consciously holding it in because I know everything you are saying is right
I definitely walked away from my deal at Geffen cuz of the fear of what came with success. I never knew what anxiety was until I got in the business and started being around stars and seeing what fame would bring. I realized early that the trauma from my upbringing added with fame would send me to an early grave. This ish right here had my choked up. Respect to the legend. All money ain't good money.
Perfectly described me I had a chance to do a song with a up & coming rapper I can’t across on MySpace & turned it down cause she wanted 2,000 back in 2006. ROCKWILDER is a legend, so many bangers. Watching a big man cry like that melts my heart, I hope he finds peace. 💙
Who was he talking about that passed. Did he say the name Shake? I want to look him up. 🙏🏻❤️
@@ChrisNajdek Shakir Stewart, exec from Def Jam who suicided. IDK if he's saying Shak as short or if his nickname was actually "Shake"
Shit made me cry. I like Rock more now than I ever did. In fact I love him. For being tough but vulnerable. I make music…. I do it for the love of it. 9 times out of 10 I hate every beat I have done because I thought it was never good enough. I compare myself to others and I think something is always missing. Until people tell me… “Nah Bro…you feel like that.. let me get that then” 😆 when people play some of the songs i did… they really point at you and be like “You that Nigga!!” Now you gotta live up that. It gets harder until you trust yourself. But trust me….. I WOULD LOVE TO MAKE A MILLION.
This right here is an example when abilities to do great work is not the issue, but being great at your craft and staying 'normal.'
Much Love MATH, HYNAKEN, ESSO, MR.MECC & Co for these therapeutic podcasts for the global community as a whole - from London 💯🔥
He's good people. He really took the time out to dig out specific elements of my music. Solid.
This show is therapy not only for hiphop fans..but for legends as well!🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯

Big bruh's pain brought a tear to my eye .
Shout out from Oakland
One Love family
You did it,👊🏾💯👊🏾
He made me cry listening to what he was saying. So relatable. The thought of letting people down hurts my soul.
This was so powerful to see. I love seeing black men in these facets being able to be real, honest and vulnerable.
As a black woman it is so powerful and heartwarming watching black men showing each other love and consoling another brotha when he is shedding tears and sharing a traumatic experience. Love this!! Thank you Hoffa , the guests and the rest of the crew for sharing your inner soul with us. ♥️🙌🏽✊🏾
Man I felt that pain. Been a fan of Rockwilder for decades. Met him in 2014. Full of energy. Good dude
When math hoffa got up and hugged rockwilder you felt the love in that just by watching ,it was right on time 🙏🏾 salute 🫡 math 💯
Had no idea Rockwilder did that Oh No beat for Pharoah, Mos and Nate. I swear Rockwilder is criminally underrated. He got a 20 clip for anybody in a Versuz. Da Rockwilder beat he did for Red and Meth alone is a haymaker
On behalf of Hip Hop Music lovers worldwide and all those who enjoyed - no experienced this era in Hip Hop - I DEMAND A VERSUS WITH ROCKWILDER AND WHOEVER from the powers that be! IMMEDIATELY - IF NOT SOONER.
Me neither but in retrospect I can hear his sound in it with the staccato notes on “Oh No”
I'd love to see him and Timmy in a verzuz that would be mind blowing
@@Alloyd876 might be closer than people think. I also had no idea he did “Do it again” for Jay Z and 50 Cent’s “do you think about me” too. Yea Rock got a clip for sure
same here. I remember playing that track over and over again back in the day and driving my buddys crazy with it. I had no idea it aws from the same guy who produced blackout, another BANGER
Beautiful thing to see men not afraid to cry. Let it out don't hold it in it eats away at you. Blessings to brotha Rockwilder.
His transparency is everything, everyone won’t always understand your values but you gotta stay true to you. Love this 🖤
Social anxiety is a real thing. Glad the legend is doing well.
It’s not social anxiety, it’s not wanting fame and the bullshit that comes with it. It’s about doing what you love and being able to live a normal life
It’s more than that. You will
Literally lose yourself in this industry. He didn’t want that.
This hit the soul. Appreciate you Rockwilder🙏🏾
Math you really took your brand to another level…..salute to you God ☝🏾
I'm with Rock, I don't want fame either, I just want money and/or just to be successful in reaching all of my goals in life. I don't need a lot of attention, and I appreciate my peace.
thats me to man
That's the advice suge nights partner tried to give him when he first started death row...he told him stay out of the spot light and don't be putting yourself all in front of the camera and be in these magazines.......we see how that turned out.
IM THERE WITH THAT MAN-I WANTED TO BE SUCCESSFUL WITHOUT THE ADULATION AND THE ATTENTION-I LIKED TO BE SO LOW KEY SUCCESSFUL
I feel his pain....
Never been in the music industry. I just do. His cry came from his soul.
Blessings to all you brothers👑💯✊🏿💪🏿❤️

Love the humility Roc has.. Much respect to one of my favorite producer and this show for having him on, A lot of producer get flowers but Roc deserves his!
Best interview thus far. Great emotional story about the darkside of success and the affects from it. I salute you!!!
You molded and shaped me personally through the soundtrack of your life. 1love my brother
Damn, 1st time seeing someone show their misery due to success/fame. You always hear the little quotes about it but never emotionally see it.
Facts …
That part
Facts and I know mad famous people feel like that but you would never know that due to the role they have to play
Demonic force behind fame.
Wow! What a moment! Cry and laughter while we allow our men to gather!
My expert opinion you guys out did y’all selves! Heck of a job
I can relate so much to him in this. I feel the same way sometimes.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was on tour with Missy and Rockwilder was her DJ for the tour, he always been a humble and overall good dude!! Salute 🫡
Can't wait for the full interview. Grown men conversations.
Damn Math you create these moments now it's so dope !!! That's why I think this podcast is definitely a top 2 or 3 best podcast now. I don't miss any of them because of moments. 9th wonder was a moment Fat Joe and Remy were moments and Rockwilder now, but so many in between. Salute ✊🏾
I feel this man. It's not soft to let out tears. Sometimes you gotta let it out. And fame does suck. People expect these unrealistic things about you, like they believe that you owe them because they brought your product. It's wrong. The artist doesn't owe you past the product he/she provided. Not a picture, not an autograph, not a hug, none of that. If they decide to do that, that's their choice. People take fandom to heart too much. They are people just like you and me. Nothing different.
Just wow. Who would have thought looking at him 20 ago he felt this way. He always looked so confident and defiant. I so enjoy hearing the stories of looking out for each other. The level of gratitude he has for his friends and family is incredible.
Love interviews from the guys behind the scenes! Thank you for you being vulnerable & owing your truth! Glad Bless You Rockwilder!
My dude Dana Stinson aka Rockwilder from Highschool days at MVB in the 80's. Great honest convo my guy. Had me tearing up for you bro. speak your truth. It is not always about the Fame and the Glory but the passion to create and do what you love. Peace Math for sharing this video of my dude.
This podcast is so important for the culture. God bless you, Hoffa, bro. Keep doing what you doing man
Emotional HONESTY.

And, Salute...
Yo Math and Team, growing up Ive always loved “Da Rockwilder” but man watching how raw this episode was refreshing! Shout out to the Rockwilder for his vulnerability and honesty! Awareness is key! Shout out to the hosts for respecting the man! Salute
WE NEEDED THIS HOFFA!!!!!!
Real Men. Real Brothers. Real Family. Real Talk. Peace godz.
Beautiful, truthful interview with this wonderful Black man speaking & owning HIS truths. I'm so glad that his "roses" were delivered by Black men panelists and allowed HIM to feel in that moment. There's so many "dying" inside and putting up a front on the outside. I'm glad he overcame those negative spirits to see the blessings that God had for him...listening to the waters!
I think this is the best show because the brotherhood is threw the roof me n u math r the same age I’m from va but half my family lives n Brooklyn been going to Ny my whole life salute to u math for bringing the love back n this game u r a good dude your show will change a lot of lives for the better
Great Interview and love that support you guys showed him in his moment explaining. Bless up!
Rockwilder has always been one of my favorite producers of all time. Maintain on The Extinction Agenda is a classic.
This man is genuinely a good soul. It really touched me to see him open up in front of all of these men. He definitely deserves his accolades for his work but I understand why he felt anxiety about the fame. I wish him all the best and hope he knows that his music is truly appreciated.
Hoffa y'all boys fuckin killing it bro!! This segment was powerful man.. love how you let the guests speak be open and be vulnerable. Sheesh. S/o to Rockwilder
my man just defined what success really is in the end! much love
Salute this show is a blessing to all true hip hop heads . Math u are golden 💪🏽
I grew up at the beginning of Hip-Hop...while I have seen amazing and wonderful things in the culture along with the bad. I can say that I have never felt more proud of the culture that I am right now watching this interview, and the many interviews prior to this one. I am just blown away with how Math Hoffa, along with his crew of Es$o, Mecca, Hynaken is using his/this platform to allow us, who only get a glimpse in from the outside, and showing our patronage for the artform what it is to be in it. To see "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" of it all to use the title of a great spaghetti western: I am just humbled, thankful, and amazed!
Da Rockwilda was just perfect! I truly don't understand people who don't understand that! You can't remix it, redo it or whatever! It's just beautiful!
Yes it's a perfect record
That was a legendary moment. All your episodes are fire Math, but this one hit different
Salute to this MAN. He's got the PASSION and the HEART not forgetting MATH and the TEAM as well. Peace & Love.
Cool brother, respect his vulnerability🙏 a real one. Rockwilder got hits on toppa hits,

This one gave me a different outlook on life real talk 💯 My guy is super humble and he went through it ✊🏾 big respect to Rockwilder, glad he’s in a better frame of mind now.
A younger me would think he's insane to NOT want the fame and accolades. This version of me... I get it. Salute to Rock. And to the brothers in the room that held him down and let him speak. Made him feel comfortable. That's priceless therapy.
Thank you for sharing RockWilder. Great Show Fellas.
All he seemed to want to do was share his talent with the world, not his life, his morals, his family or his sanity. Talented and humble, how often are they mentioned together in todays viral world? May God continue to bless and keep him and thank you Hoffa for providing a platform for truth, information and inspiration, keep it coming bro.
Pricelessly powerful interview Hoffa . Love these stories behind the success and fame. Fans have no idea the cost and price of Fame
Math you are doing amazing things!!! No other podcast like this!!! Got me emotional...

Im not crying....I had some onions 2 weeks ago. 🥺
Wow, Queens Salute.. a few years ago I went to a "Push Button Collective" battle and I stood next to the famous Rockwilder and I gave him much respect and he was in the crowd chilling .. much love... powerful statement" I was afraid of success, because I never wanted to die." Love on this and thank you Rockwilder for the cosmic sonics that made living in jamaica, queens fresher in all the pressure.. thank you!

Respect Rockwilder! I understand where he was coming from that's why I'm sitting on tracks!!!!💯💯🎯🎯 It's not for the fame it's for the love!!!!💯💯
I was signed to a label in the 90s with a production deal but i walked away. I just wanted to make music for my own peace of mind. What they say about the industry isn’t false. I may be living humbly but my soul is intact.
First, know yourself. And then you’ll make the right decisions. Sounds like you called that one right, and good for you, to value and embrace peace of mind over material wealth. For people who can have both, good for them. But for those who have to choose, you gotta choose wisely.
I feel my man 💯 much respect from Lansing Mich Great interview Math
I'm tearing up watching Rock share his story. Salute to this legend for sharing the real deal.
Yo OG who is Shake?
I’m so proud of these men! These are what kings look like! Keep up the great work!

Excellent . We need more of our brothers to express real and raw emotion to each other . All that glitters ain’t gold. Healing process .
This shit touched my heart … i felt his pain …this is a safe space for hip hop 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾..
Love the honesty. Everyone's not interested in the lights and money and the pressures and drama that come with it to stay and maintain. Some folks rather choose peace.

Watching roc be this honest about fame. I wonder how many other people in entertainment and sports as a whole. Go thru and feel this way about fame
Thank you for sharing this with us. People who seek fame don't understand the personalities and needs of others who don't.
Damn...I just realized Method Man is the reason I always came in at the wrong time on the beat when I tried to rap in HS lol Rockwilder was one my many inspirations during that time 💯💪🏿
