Blueberry Picking 2024

Join me for a day at a blueberry farm in me home state of Pennsylvania. First we will pick the berries and visit the farms little shop for all things blueberry. See what I purchased at the blueberry shop. Back home we make a lunch featuring the blueberries and a blueberry pie. The recipe is simple and I included it for you below.

Blueberry Pie
3-4 cups blueberrries
9 inch pie plate
7 tablespoons cornstarch
2/3 cup of sugar or sweetener equivalent
3 tbsp water
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 9 inch pie crust
1/2 tbsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
Crumb topping:
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup butter
Mix the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients to it. mix well.
Put washed blueberries in the pie shell, pour slurry over the berries.
Add pie crust or crumb topping to the top.
Flute the edges of the crust.
Make holes in the top if using pie crust.
Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
