Paul from Empire Paintball with a few clarifications on this nice video from Rory and ANS. The goggle does come within the goggle bag, which reduces any chances of scratching the lens during transit. The tray in the box keeps the shape of the ear pieces while the EVS is stored within the box, whether in transit from the factory/Empire or sitting on shelves. The ear pieces do not need to be removed to remove the lens, you can just turn the dials and remove the lens and then reverse the process for installation.
I tried one on. One of the teams that's sponsored by Empire had them and let me try it on. I Only really liked it. Wouldn't mind getting one. But I already have two great masks already.
I think mask reviews should show more of the mask being on the head, since this is a relativity new kind of mask system wouldn't it be beneficial to see it on the head so people can judge the protection area and general look? just a thought.
The mask is going to fit everyone's head a little differently, but the EVS has the most coverage out of any mask on the market right now. The sides and lower part of the mask cover everything but Rory's goatee when you look directly at him.

Hey I have a question about the Empire EVS. I am going to use this as my airsoft mask, will the glass break through 400 fps? about 300 fps to 400 fps. Im pretty sure im not going to buy it if it breaks. Also what about the DYE i5 how much FPS can this stand?
When can I order a smoked lens? I just noticed that it didn't come standard with the smoke, should have read better. So that being said when and where can I get a dark lens for my EVS?

Ive worn all three, Evs wider and feels a bit heavier, i noticed the echo is awful when i yell inside the evs' it echos inside to the point that it almost sounds like im yelling in my own ear. I4s are small not as much protection but very nice feeling mask if you can get away with the small size. Vios by far the best mask in my opinion perfect vision, barely any echo good protection if i had to pic id go for vio/ vio extends they're definitely worth the price

The EVS, and this applies to paintball masks in general, are made to protect against airsoft bb's as well as paintballs so long as you're shooting at a reasonable FPS (300 or less). BUT, airsoft bb's can be shot at much higher FPS than paintballs and if it's too high, then the mask can't do it's job. Check with the field you're playing at and find out what their regulations are. They should be able to tell you if the airsoft bb's will be breaking through the lens or not.
probably get a guerilla 48/3000 or 68/3000 depending on your size, or if you wanna go higher end then go with a any of the 4500 Ninja tanks, and for hopper go with any of the newer dye hoppers
Any kind of hpa tank. If you don't have a budget get a 4500 psi tank so it is lighter and can get more shots out of it. If you do have a small budget then get any 3000 psi tank. for a hopper a virtue spire or a dye rotor is good.

No. They come with a clear lens but we also offer ten aftermarket colors of lenses.

You dot have to remove the ear pieces to take out the lens. All you need to do is rotate the black arms back and push the lens out!

lense change is a chore...pass. love the design but ill pick the vforce grill anytime of the day.
Once you do it once or twice its not that bad. Either mask is a great option.

How much does it weigh? Sounded heavy when you put it down, and it looks like it had heft to it.

The mask is around the size of the ProFlex, just wider. The i4 looks tiny next to it, but it's not made for Godzilla.

Yes and the foam is split so it will not affect the arms of your glasses

Just as well as the i4.
Would this mask be good for a small head
This mask is one of the bigger styles, but can be adjusted to fit someone with a small head. All you need to do is tighten the strap.
