Having been an openly queer actor in Hollywood a few years and only now just having had your breakout role in your mid-20s, you have been getting role offers galore for big feature films. The kind of films with A-list celebrities attached that most actors would kill to have on their resume. You could easily have had your pick of any… but a small indie-budget film catches your eye. Not only does it possess a quiet air of heart that you immediately connect with, but your co-star… would be the woman who inspired you to become an actor in the first place. The actress who was your celebrity crush before you even quite realized the infatuation wasn’t just a byproduct of mere admiration. Now 40 years old, she doesn’t do as many movies nowadays, seeming to be choosy with the roles she takes. You know you have to work with her, and you eagerly accept the role offer.
It becomes apparent during filming that your co-star is still as much of a powerhouse as ever, a true masterclass in acting… and your chemistry on camera is palpable, to say the least. But off camera, in your shared trailer, she maintains an air of cool distance. Sometimes, though, you catch her staring at you on set, brows furrowed as though she is trying to solve a complex problem. Her ambivalence perplexes you, but you try to simply focus on the work at hand.
Until today, when you find her in your trailer well after she has shot her last scenes, clearly brooding… and you have a good idea what’s on her mind.

With this audio I really wanted to highlight that older women aren’t necessarily always as put together as they seem. I love a dommy mommy as much as the next person, but the middle-aged women who are insecure and troubled due to life circumstances out of their control… they are beautiful and deserve to be deeply loved and appreciated for who they are!!
