I love his story and his summation. I too hitchhiked all around Israel, (with a dear friend). We went to the same areas. Worked on a kibbutz. We were there for the 3 months prior to the Yom Kippur war. Hitchhiked with beautiful Jewish and Moslem people and I still hold those memories dear in my heart. Left for Greece just 3 days before the outbreak. No, no one knew it was imminent. We left because a kibbutz organized trip to the Sinai to Mt St Catherine’s was unexpectedly cancelled. Thank you Mr Poilievre.
