They look like an amazing piece of kit. I'm tempted, but I'm also 'trying to quit' (LOL) I've owned a couple other Waldorf synths, and unfortunately, I ended up with problematic rotary encoders on both, which I found very frustrating, and forced me to sell them..........The Iridium is definitely on my radar though.......I'm very intrigued by the magnificent and mystifying sounds I've heard from them..... I've listened to quite a few of your uploads - right up my alley.........All the best. w
Oh dear, I have only just discovered your channel and I must say you can create some truly mind blowing music! If you don't mind asking - how do you create patches like this? How did you learn that? Is it complicated to achieve something similar on Iridium? I am considering getting one but knowing how bad I am at mastering my other gear.... ;-) Much respect for the music you create!
Thank you, its just a lot of experimentation. I throw away 95% of the experimentations, only a small bit comes out sounding good, which is what is posted here
Hi, thanks very much. The Iridium can be quick or time consuming depending upon how you use it, for my patches there's a lot of experimentation and trial and error and trying things out that don't work, so it can take a long time to get results
Hi, thanks for all you comments and questions. No I don't have Spotify, I don't really know what it is, I'll have a look. My sounds are very niche so I've assumed so few people might be interested in them I've not bothered with any platforms other than youtube.
@@ambioticfluid294 Nah. I hear ambient music on Spotify and other platforms. Your one patch(es) are great. I think you definitely underestimate your skill.
Hi, no not yet. I've been sending crash logs to Waldorf which they've been looking into. But seems its a hardware issue so waiting to hear from them about how to get it fixed/replaced (in the US its Korg who are the distributors for Waldorf)
@@ambioticfluid294 I've been thinking about purchasing Iridium as inspired by your sounds! What hardware issues does your unit have? How does it affect using it? your music is great, is it still worth it despite issue?
@@shawnsaul7759 My Iridium was ok for the first 7 months apart from an occassional software crash. But then the screen started going black and it wouldn't restart. Waldorf have looked at my support logs and say its a hardware issue and its under warrenty so I need to send it for repair/replacement (just heard back from them yesterday). I'd not hesitate to get one because if develops an issue it'll be under warrenty so it can be replaced. Since it broke I have realized just unique it is and how much I miss it, I can't create sounds anything like it on any of my other synths
@@shawnsaul7759 Hi thanks. My Iridium turns off and wont restart.I've been in contact with Waldorf for them to diagnose and I have to send it for repair/replacement. I miss it, I don't feel like using my other synths. Can't wait to get it replaced
Wonderful , no other word ….
I listen to your works many, many times…

Wow your music takes me to places and sound design is sublime - does it take much time to do this on Iridium ?

@Indoe Skies. Thanks. I'll look into Spotify sometime
Is your Iridium repaired? No problems anymore?
