43007 on the final Cross Country HST passenger service departs Doncaster for the last time 18/9/23

43007 and 43008 in their stunning heritage BR Intercity livery’s depart Doncaster for Leeds on the final farewell leg of the last ever CrossCountry Trains HST public passenger service, travelling from Plymouth to Leeds.
I'd riden the train from Sheffield to Doncaster on a roundabout, diversionary route via Rotherham Central. The atmosphere onboard was very much a surreal party one by this time at night. Thanks to CrossCountry for running this in an enthusiast-friendly way.

A sad day, but they performed well. I travelled from Plymouth to Newton Abbot. Wish they hah had some kind of souvenirs. 😢

Absolutely! I think they are more likely to have something available on next weeks tour, although I’m unavailable for that one unfortunately.
