Context: Zeus is punishing Odysseus for his crew slaying the cattle of the Sun god Helios for food (I think). Hope y’all enjoyed, and be sure to tune in for the next one!

Who oddly enough get stolen a lot in the mythology lol.
If I remember correctly, Eurylochus tried sacrificing one of the cows in order to attempt to escape punishment
I am listening to a video with all clips combined, and they have thunder bringer come right after Eurylochus and Odysseus's fight. Which makes sense.
And I haven't heard anything about Helios' cattle so that might have been cut from the play

Fo be fair this is like the bag of winds. He warned his crew and they didn't listen to him.
Odysseus in the actual odyssey orders his men to not touch the cows, but they defy his order while he is away praying.

@@SleepyHollowKnightyea, but the "pride is a damsel in distress / hiding away where only I can undress her" does have those undertones. Which also makes sense, considering zeus' canon personality
@@unstable_ghost teeechnically before this he appears in the Calypso saga, at least for a bit in God Games (afaik it happens before this chronologically), but yeah, very fitting that the first metaphor Zeus uses in a dialogue is sexual.
Zeus appeared in the first song, the Horse and the Infant.

I think the violin fits zeus because it can be as soft as a rain shower to as powerful as a thunder storm ⛈️ 🌩. Also its a very regal type of instrument perfect for a king

Omg!!!!! I love how Zues has lightning in his eyes, and when you go through the ring for the transition ❤❤❤❤ i love the electric blue backround too, it gives zues a felling of superiority with it and the lightning happening when he wants it to!! I LOVE your art style!!

When you hear him sing you ACTUALLY feel the yickiest feeling! I know it's a metaphor, but it's such a good one. You never hear this supossed womans opinion on what Zeus wants to do to her, her needs her TRUE wants. It really casts a light on how Zeus doesn't care on the aftermath of his SA victims, he only sees them as objects, "pieces of meat" with wich he can satisfy his carnal needs with...hate him. Great job on making him as unsipathetic as possible and showing how much of a bastard incel he is👍

You should check out the full musical! Its by Jorge Rivera Herrans and it covers the entire story of Odysseus. Its not complete yet, but it will be!
So part 2 when? Zeus would talk like a creeper when it comes to bringing justice
Part two is going to take a bit, but I’ll hopefully get it out before the month ends! I really want to capture his powerful presence and own perception of justice, so be on the lookout for that!

I was just rereading a series called record of ragnarök and its the first battle in a tournament Thor vs lu bu, with that in mind this series has beautiful art but its got a bunch of mythic figures in a form that id just say they have been anime-ified and so mjolnir in this series is essentially the same size as Thor but far heavier, in addition instead of throwing his hammer to kill when it returns to him he uses its momentum to spin him around for a mighty blow, i kid you not as I reached that pave my headphones roared "Thunder Bringer" and it sure felt good haha

I've seen parts on youtube and the reuion between Odysseus with his son. The guy who does posiden has a youtube channel himself and his music isn't that bad but "Ruthlessness" is on a whole anther level.
In the Odyssey is Poseidon (the one that screws Odysseus all the time from Polyphemus onward), and Helios (because of the cattle that the man of Odysseus ate), and Zeus (because of Helios).
In this musical we add Athena beside these.
