From the bottom of my heart of what I can say about Caleb Wittebane who's similar to Luz Noceda. Ever since their parents died the two brothers had each other and took care of each other and became witch hunters and he used to be a witch hunter alongside his younger brother Philip Wittebane who was also a witch hunter but then Caleb Wittebane outgrew his witch hunting duties which was becoming barbaric until he met a beautiful witch named Evelyn Clawthorne who was an ancestor of the Clawthorne family and fell in love with her and followed her to the boiling isles which was a strange but beautiful place and decided to go to the boiling isles and live there. Evelyn Clawthorne dazzled and impressed him with magic and witchcraft and the two of them had a beautiful relationship together and they fell in love. Their relationship blossomed and grew and then Caleb met a lot of witches and faced and took on many challenges and then Caleb and Evelyn have gotten married and became husband and wife and Evelyn became pregnant with his child and Caleb flourished and became happier and healthier and chose to live and stay in the boiling isles. Philip Wittebane sets out to find and save his older brother Caleb in the boiling isles and bring the witch to justice and it took Philip a long time or a year to find him until he sees Caleb happy and healthy with his pregnant wife who's a witch and Philip is jealous that Caleb has a wife and he's very furious with his brother Caleb who betrayed him. Since Caleb tried to convince his brother Philip to accept his happiness and decision Philip disapproves of the relationship and tries to attack and kill his wife Evelyn with a knife but Caleb defends his wife blocks the attack with his own knife and the two brothers get into an awful fight and things get dark and edgy. The two brothers end up fighting but then Philip stabs him in the back into his heart in cold blood killing his older brother in the process and Caleb dies but then Evelyn gets angry and blast Philip with her magic causing Philip to flee and run away and Philip vows to kill all witches. What I can say for poor Caleb is he gave his life to save his wife like a hero and it cost him his life which was a sacrifice he made. Like Luz Noceda he has so much in common with her and Caleb Wittebane was the first real human to enter and live in the boiling isles and flourish and he found a home in the demon realm rather than in the human realm. I wish Luz and Caleb could've met each other. He will always be remembered as a good man and a good hero and he will be kept in memory. He also should've been in the episode epilogue Watching and Dreaming at the end and thank Luz for destroying Belos and avenging his death. What's a shame is that Philip aka Belos is a complete foil to Camila. Things between Luz and Camila are light and soft while things between Caleb and Philip aka Belos are dark and edgy. Camila loves her daughter Luz and doesn't get furious at Luz and wouldn't kill or end her for living in the demon realm and she's not cruel like Belos and she supports Luz's decision, happiness, and healthiness and accepts her for who she is and she accepts the friends and awesome girlfriend Amity that Luz has in the boiling isles. But Belos on the other hand due to his duties as a witch hunter is cruel and evil and he doesn't support and accept his older brother Caleb's decision, happiness, and healthiness and gets furious at Caleb for living in the demon realm and is against Caleb having everything in the boiling isles and the beautiful and charming wife Evelyn he has and Belos disowns Caleb and murders his brother Caleb in a jealous and cruel rage. We will miss you Caleb Wittebane but we will always remember you and never forget you as a good man and hero.
I wish that Hunter met Caleb in some way so Hunter could have some closure of hunters somewhat father, hunter has Been throw so much I just wish that they would show like the ghost of Caleb and Evelyn and flapjack in the background watching over hunter like the parents he deserves. ❤
There's an AU Story whare caleb himself was reincarnated and resurrected by the previous golden guard before hunter as he was taken to the human realm whare he was adopted by Manny and camila eventually becoming luz's adopted brother only to be renamed Luke without any memory of belos or Philip now why I am bringing this up well because its something that actually revolves around Caleb wittebane if he was a main protagonist alongside luz

This is something I wish we got more information on as it would’ve been great to learn more as to how belos came to be along with his brother Caleb and the history of the clawthorn family too.
I will always be salty that the instead on an episode being dedicated to this backstory in the final we got a filler episode at hex-side 🙄 the whole reason for this happening was Philip and Caleb ! This story and Hunter got done so dirty with the finale 😭 We never even saw Evelynn’s face and it was hinted her and Caleb had a kid, had a theory she was a Clawthorn (Eda’s ancestor) but NOPE nothing confirmed or denied 😢

I don’t have have any social media so I miss a lot of this stuff, they honestly should have made an episode on this in the final because it was the reason for a lot of things happening. @@Teainatophat I do agree, would like some information but I actually like how vague it is. It keeps you thinking, we have the pieces but not the full picture. It puts us in a similar boat as the main characters in the story, and makes it feel more real to us. I like that it’s left up to the audience to figure out exactly what happened. In real life you will never get a full picture. Tho I would like a few more scraps of story (Evelyn’s face!!)and would love to see a Philip Wittebane journal! Tho I do see a possible future if there’s a graphic novel similar to the Gravity Falls spin off with a small chapter of young Caleb and Philip, which despite everything I said will have me going feral and clawing the inside of my enclosure. Sorry for the rant I literally have no one to talk about this too lol.
@@char-_ yes I love how with the brothers backstory it’s been left for us to figure out with the Easter eggs scattered throughout season 2 but they definitely did Evelyn dirty by focusing on the brothers, like was she killed when Caleb was? Did she go into hiding or did she try to lead a rebellion ? And if Phillip knew she was a clawthorn why did he never go after her child/descendants ? I just have so many unanswered questions and while I love the mystery of the story I’m also the kinda persons that wants to know everything 🤣 The second any graphic novels/extra stuff is announced I am going to devour it so quickly 🤣 And ahahah it’s okay, I’m the ONLY person in my family and friend group that watches The Owl house so it’s nice to finally be able to talk to fans of the show lol.

I think she was long since passed before Belos became well known so I don’t think she started a rebellion, she also cursed Phillip with his affliction so she probably assumed he was dead or incapacitated by it, up until he robbed Caleb’s grave to create the Grimwalkers. Yeah same here pookie, I mean I have some friends who’ve watched it but bc I’m a year late to the party they don’t care as much anymore and my family would probably disapprove of me viewing it even tho it was on kids network and I’m almost legal drinking age lol so I can’t really say anything to them there. 😅😅 So yeah it’s nice to be able to speak to someone who’s a fan bc it’s all I think of…all the time (I sound crazy)
