Truth is he didn’t.. 1st was close which I feel like should’ve been a draw at the very least. 2nd I believe max won. 3rd fight he worked max.

It's one of the dopest things ever to see you rooting and cheering for Max.
Yeah, especially when as sad as it is, or as deserving of an immediate rematch as any former champ could be that finish and performance for max undoubtedly is gonna catapult max right past volk in terms of being able to leapfrog volk for the ilia title fight in Spain. Hell ilia himself even said as much that it’s clear now it is max who he should fight in Spain. I do think ultimately if the stars align perfectly it could potentially really screw volk, because its not so much being leapfrogged, volk could do with more time away , and max has said he will for sure fight volk a 4th time even if he wins the belt, but the problem is this performance really slingshotted Max’s starpower to the stratosphere even as someone already beloved and if Conor goes out and starches chandler, calls out not the lw champ, but max Holloway for a bmf title fight after max fights for the title in Spain, if max then goes and beats ilia for the fw belt you couldn’t fault max for undoubtedly going with defending the bmf belt as a guy undoubtedly getting ppv points against Conor rather then defending his newly achieved fw title against volk. That’s ofc worst case scenario though and requires a lot of different pieces to align a certain way

@worldview6218 volk needs to chill, slow down and enjoy the life he built for himself anyway. ... he's run himself ragged trying to stay on top of 145 while also trying to take over 155 ... man just needs a break or else he's going to destroy himself ... let Max go and beat Ilia and when Volk is all healed up (mentally and physically) he can come back and see where he fits in. He's got nothing left to prove to anyone at this point

Weili could have won by submission in round 1 or even a TKO in round 2 when she was beating Yan over the head with no defense for 15 seconds straight. That ref was definitely off.
Anyone that has done grappling knows your arms give out as well big time after a submission like that. Hence hinder Weili’s striking and nobody is addressing that.

Not that wild. Gaethje is an absolute shark in his division, and Max looked too small against Poirier. Max came in thick this time, like a proper lightweight, and he brought the power with him. I'm glad he won, but I did not pick him as the favorite.
