  • Deciding what electronics to pack for travel can be quite the challenge! There are lots of great travel tech gadgets out there, and choosing the right ones to pack is so important when you are planning your trip. As full-time travelers and digital nomads working online, we have had the chance to really test out the best travel tech gear and electronics, and want to share our learnings with you!
    Whether you are packing for carry-on only, going on a short holiday, or beginning your own full-time travel adventure, these are the travel electronics we would recommend for anyone packing for travel in 2024.

    If you want to see our video showing everything we pack for full-time travel, click this link: • What to Pack for Trave...
    In this video we are covering the best travel tech gadgets of 2024 (in our opinion), which includes a travel adapter, battery banks, wireless earbuds, the best action camera for travel (which is the Insta 360 in our opinion!), the camera we use for travel, the best travel tech organizers, and so much more. Through trial and error during our two year of full-time travel, we have come to love these particular travel electronic items and hope that you find them as awesome as we do if you decide to purchase them for your next trip!
    What we pack for travel and how we pack for travel has changed quite a bit since we began full-time travel in March, 2021, especially when it comes to travel electronics. We started out by traveling with only carry-on luggage, which was amazing for costs and kept us in the mindset of minimalist packing! We would have loved to continue traveling with only carry-on luggage, but there's a lot of electronic gear to lug around when you have a RUclips channel, and, soon after starting this RUclips channel, our backpacks were very overpacked. Although we are no longer traveling with only carry-on luggage, we learned so many great minimalist travel hacks and came up with awesome packing tips during our first year of travel with only carry-on luggage. These packing tips and hacks are the reason we can carry so much filming and editing gear around (seriously, it's a lot!) and still only have 105L of backpack between the two of us!

    ======================
    Hey there! We are Nicole and Mico and in March 2021, we quit our jobs, sold our belongings, and began traveling the world! We never thought we'd be making travel vlogs on RUclips, but after realizing that we had a unique opportunity to share our adventure and make the world feel more familiar and inviting to anyone watching, we took the leap and picked up the camera! We hope our videos show how wonderful, delicious, and friendly the world can be.

    The aerial shots have looked on a 360 camera like you are disappearing into a black hole! The curvature in the lens gives a strange longevity to everything,fun and unusual when unexpected, nice to see this happy twosome travel ✌️❤️🇬🇧much love

    Disagree on the short cords, just a bit. I have one long 10ft cord I carry with me. Cause that's the one I probably use on my phone or something and can get it across the bed or whatever while the charger is far away

    • @nicoleandmico
      @nicoleandmico  Год назад

      We found the 10ft ones charge way slower than the regular 3 foot cords. Still charges but not ideal for when you travel and often need a quick charge!

    Great video! The MEC pouch looks great. I have the PeakDesign tech pouch and I love it but sometimes I do feel that it's a bit too bulky since I always travel with carry-on only. 😄

    Always buy your charging cord braided,the thicker cord is more durable,better still magnetic charging eliminates fumbling with cords and the obvious loose socket connection you always get when a device is 2 years old or older, no one wants to wake up to a device that has failed to charge thru a loose connection 😱use magnetic charging it’s better ✌️❤️🇬🇧much love

    the universal adapter thing is stupid, I traveled and the only devices that I want to plug uses usb a or c so I just got usb charger that I can change the plug to the country I am visiting and it's strong enough to charge laptop.

    • @nicoleandmico
      @nicoleandmico  Год назад

      Interesting! What if you travel to multiple countries on one trip, do you just take all the different plugs with you?

    • @Gamex996
      @Gamex996 Год назад

      @@nicoleandmico my charger is us plug by default and you can plug uk,eu plug so I would just take eu plug unless you going to uk which is unlikely

    • @nicoleandmico
      @nicoleandmico  Год назад

      O I see. We are in Malaysia now and they use the UK plug as the country's standard plug. You just never know if you travel to multiple countries on the same trip so for us it's best to just have one thing that can do it all.

    The length of the cord DOES NOT effect the charging speed. The type of cord, as well as how it's made, DOES. There are a lot of crappy, cheap cords, as well as charging bricks, out there. It's best to buy from a reputable brand like Anker, Ugreen, Cable Matters, CableCreation, and/or Satechi. As far as the type of cable, if it's Usb-C to Usb-C, you're going to get a max charge of 60 Watts. Some Usb-C cables can got up to 100w, even 140w. If it's Usb-C to Usb-A, the max charge is 12-18w, usually 12. The max charge also depends on the charging brick you're plugging into. That is a whole mess in & of itself. And let's not even talk about which cables can carry high-speed data and which ones can't.

      There are many factors to charging speed and cord length is definitely one of them. The longer a wire is, the more resistance the electric current will experience compared to the same wire of a shorter length. All the other things you mentioned are also important factors.

      I worked in IT Infrastructure for Retail stores and there was a standard to NOT put lan wires longer than 90m of course thats a whole another dimension of length but jeah it wouldnt affect a 3m cable lol if its well made
