Rad, but those of us at northstar are wondering why dirty harry isn't a blue. Rode Deer Jumps and all those trails, some of the best maintained bike park trails in the world. But something is up with the naming. Deer Jumps should be a Blue and some blues should be greens, like bronco. Awesome vid, also went on a hike their while I was vacationing and I got to see what looks like massive jump trail with gaps, massive hips, and drops in the making on the other side near dirty harry, Hopefully will open next year.
The Reason is because in the US, the rating system is not universal. Blue, green, double black etc are only relative to the other trails at that specific mountain/resort. A black at one mountain can very easily be a blue at another, it only matters in correlation to the trails at that mountain. Where as in europe, its more of a universal rating system so blacks at different mountains are similarly rated.
Im not sure the video does a justice. Im a comfortable rider of 6-7 years, love hard trails and whistler tech like original sin, misfire, no joke etc. This trail is hard because there is absolutely no grip and is super chunky/slow which makes it tricky. I think the black rating is definitely fair and I encourage you to try the trail out for yourself as they have tweaked it a bit to make it even harder.
Solo laps! Who wants to go with me next time??
It is good to see the trail I helped build is keeping bikers occupied! Happy trails!!! Drty, hairy
So is this the mountain by the 4 seasons in teton village or snow king in Jackson?
