  • The Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation (MDF) is pleased to announce that Cecilia Dupecher, Ph.D., Program Manager, Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP) at the U.S. Army’s Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) will lead an informative webinar briefly explaining the program’s history and purpose followed by a discussion on how researchers can apply for $370 million in awards under PRMRP as part of the fiscal year 2024 review cycle.
    Myotonic Dystrophy researchers were awarded over $5 million as part of the fiscal year 2023 grant cycle. Since myotonic dystrophy was designated as an eligible research area, over $21 million has been allocated to advancing research in this critical field. www.myotonic.org/congress-app...

    Cecilia Dupecher, Ph.D.
    Program Manager, Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs
    U.S. Army Medical Research and Development Command
    Dr. Dupecher provides strategic coordination for the execution and management of PRMRP Congressional appropriation. As the Program Manager, she is responsible for executing the PRMRP’s entire program life cycle, including investment strategy, development of funding opportunities, overseeing review of research proposals, and analysis of PRMRP’s accomplishments. She joined CDMRP in 2017 as Science Officer, providing scientific management and oversight to a portfolio of research awards focused on various Infectious Diseases, funded under the PRMRP.
