Very useful thank you. I was trying to be accurate for my Lake of Menteith video. The ones I saw walking seemed to be Greylag, despite a local ID board which I think said Pink-Footed geese which are possibly there as well at times. I am going to plump for Greylag! I will have another look to check for a big cone bill.
It is indeed unfortunate that many people just see geese as an xmas meal. I don't eat them at all, some geese count to my best friends. They are extremely intelligent and social, also very friendly, lovable, funny, goofy, hilarious, wonderful, beautiful. Once you met tame geese close up and personally, you'll never eat geese anymore. I love them to bits, and adore them!

This Spring we had a goose with a white forehead, not a Whitefront but a good Greylag so beware,
excellent
Wonderful
Pink feet are not unique too the pink footed geese, greylags can also have pink feet depending on where they originate from.
