In retrospect I am so glad that YG made the decision to debut both groups - they both have such different flavors to their performances that I feel comparing them to each other, and having them compete against each other, was like comparing apples and oranges ~ Team B (now iKON) fits in line with what YG Ent. is best known for (their hip-hop groups) while Team A (Winner) has a more classic, R&B mixed with rock vibe. They are both amazing at their styles, but their styles are so different it's impossible to say one group is better than the other ~ they both are the best at their own styles, their own flavor, and both groups deserved the chance to shine
Agree! Team B is an extension of the old YG style (Epik High, BB, 2NE1) while Team A represents new music like Akmu and Lee Hi. Both are great in their own ways
actually it really worked for the best that ikon lost on win. if they won here, team a wouldn't have been winner and would have probably disbanded instead because they're quite old. if team b won here, then they won't be the ikon we know today, along with chanwoo.
I really don't understand how they are able to dance, sing, and compose songs creatively with such little sleep! Let alone keep in shape. It's mind boggling to me how they can do this for 10 weeks and have such great results. I barely survived Finals Week, pulling near all-nighters for two weeks. And that was just sitting by a desk studying and writing.
Basically, they are used to this kind of environment as trainees because they have monthly evaluations. It just more extreme here during the competition because it was only for 3 mos.and extreme cases call for extreme measures that sometimes the trainees / idols get an IV drip just to "juice" them up and keep them going.

if you're going to compared it with the finals week then there are so called honored students or in short intelligent, students who basically excel in academics. and for both team a & b they were trained in the same manner they are used to it and they have monthly evaluation its there survival its a way or a test if they could survived after debut not just gaining the number 1 spot then disappered.
Can we all just take a second to admire how much of a genius Seunghoon is? When it comes to dancing, there are several people in Team B that have dance as their specialty, and they would occasionally use some choreography from other groups (not hating on Team B, I actually really like them). On the other hand, Seunghoon is the only real dancer in Team A, and he had to come up with the choreography all by himself. Seunghoon is just phenomenal and I hope he gains much popularity when WINNER debuts. :D
yes yeeess i really admired their dance the first time i saw it i was like "damn o_o" with my mouth open because that's art D: you could FEEL the dance i can't express it better, but you can tell the dance is not just steps here and there that match with the tune, no, their dance tells a story and conveys a feeling and that was awesome. hands down.

If I watch this four years ago, I'll probably say 'Team B is going to be big in the future if they're going to debut. They're young and they're stage presence is outstanding. They dance great and since they're young, they can still hone their voices.' But now that I watched this on 2018, I say 'Team B is now iKON and their doing great. And babies, congrats for the successful comeback. Congratulations, too, for surpassing 100million views on your Love Scenario's mv.' Saranghae 😘
Team A definitely wasnt given enough credit for their dance. The choreography was beautiful. It was a culmination of all their heartfelt emotions, passion, and conveys their story; the struggle to achieve their dream. It may not have been as in ur face exciting and loud as Team B's but it was just as powerful if not more.
I 100% agree. I actually got a bit teary-eyed at team A's dance which I did not expect lol. Definitely felt closer to dance as a form of expression than team B's... I felt a bit like team A and team B switched roles. Team B's dance was cool, but I felt like they wanted to look cool (like how Team A used to dance) and some of it was stuff I have seen the teams do before in this competition. In this round, team A's dance won for me, just because it made me feel something and it felt sincere and authentic. And that made me not want to miss a second.
Team A's dance made me so emotional. I've never seen a dance like that from another kpop group, wow really beautiful. What's this type of dance called? ps. Seunghoon is so talented. I'm so happy that the Team A boys took the risk and chose this dance instead of going for the " typical boyband dance moves".

Eventhough I stan team B, but after their debut, I'm so thankful that they don't win this survival show. 'IKON' suit them better, and iKON is not iKON without uri maknae chanwoo.
Team A aka winner performances are amazing especially the dancing, it was emotional and different plus everyone shined i'm glad they won they honestly deserved it.

I can't believe how underrated Team A's dance was. Yes, Team B's dance was VERY impressive. But the whole hardcore badass hip hop choreographies have been done way too many times. Team A's dance was very unique. It had a different style. It combined both jazz and breakdancing, and it had so much feeling behind it. The boy's movements and facial expressions said more than a thousand words. The choreo was truly a masterpiece. Mad props to Seunghoon.
RANT TOO. Just voicing my opinion so if you're against me, please remember that everyone has the right to speak their mind. I have to agree. Winner was VERY underrated and even after they won, I still think they deserve more than that. This show made me feel really angry. Everyone (2NE1 especially) seemed to be soooo biased toward Team B that I feel mostly pity for Team A. Dara's comment about Team A's dance made me angry. Her comment was too general, and not intended to praise the group. When in my opinion, their dance choreography was a lot better than Team B's. There's a story behind the dance and the feelings they portrayed were heartfelt. I've been a fan of Seunghoon since Kpop Star 1 so I know very well how great he is at making choreography and dancing. And I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed watching Team B's performance more than Team A sometimes. They were awesome and fun (I loved their previous performances), but in terms of grouping, Winner was a more suitable group to debut. I just like seeing them more. They looked 'in place'. Each and every one of the members of Winner took a spot in my heart, and I think that's why Winner won the Viewer's votes. Call me an idiot, but I watched till the end of WIN and I still can't get the names of the members of Team B right, except for BI, Bobby and Jinhwan. Those three were the main faces of Team B anyway, while the rest didn't get that much spotlight. Donghyuk did get some recognition because of his abs and his BBQ party, but the rest? Not so much. It hasn't been long since Winner debuted and now YG is planning on debuting another boyband by hosting another survival show?! This made me feel AS IF yg has been planning on debuting BI, Bobby and Jinhwan (or Team B) in the first place (before WIN), but he didn't know what to do to Team A, so he made WIN, in order to eliminate them. Turns out they won, and YG has to do what he promised. Now that he fullfilled his promise of debuting them, he went ahead and made another boyband. This is just what I feel YG was doing, not that it might be true. But still. What the actual fuck.

i watched this again because i really miss WINNER and im watching all again weekly idol, nico nico, Japan tour, WINNERTV, Vapp, Mnet backstage in less words ALL like 10000000 times. btw I really respect and love Taeyang he is soo good with our boys like a father after GD was my bias but now my eyes are in the sweet Tae. and I love how BOM always shows her love for Namtae, miss her. yes i like them bcs they were the kindest with WINNER seungri and Tabi too.
Justice to team a's dance hahaha but srsly, that choreo was too great, you can write a novel about that dance, all the moves are relevant,even that part when hoon touched the floor, still got me some feels. Maybe not everyone would appreciate the dance, but i really do, so much,its like a meaningful song, that i'll forever treasure instead of those catchy song that got me at first but then forgets in a week or two.damn im just so into the dance,i wonder if anyone in kpop can pull off this dance aside from winner, this is just pure genius on so many different levels.
waddup Yeach, you right. Team A's dance almost have more story than just dance and show it. From 1st battle with BB and 2NE1 judge, I start recognize it how their dance have a great tempo and get into each beat from the song. Maybe not perfect at dancer level but they are always have another new idea to put in their dance, include how imagine story from the song transform to every moves as dance. Its just amaze me and I still remember this performance and their 2nd battle dance with school story. While team B so perfect on dance moves and their high energy, I love it. I'm just looks like silent and stunned with their performance but time after time, totally I can move on another and not remember what exactly they did before. I just know and remember that team B are great dancer and always have fun peformance, love to see. While at team A's dance, till now I can make memory about their dance that combine with the song, my mind just like rewind all that memory for their performance before.

They may not be the best dancers for me but damn i dont think i can forget this whole performance for the rest of my life XD I wish more people could see how great they are

I'm so impressed of how Team A improved. Instead of trying to beat Team B, they finally created their own image that Team B cannot surpass. Team A already looks like an idol group now. I hope YG changes his mind about disbanding the losing team. Both groups deserve to debut; they worked so hard to win this brutal competition. Team A's dance was beautiful, full of artistry and creativity! I love the parts with Seunghoon dancing with Jinwoo, then with Seungyoon. With Jinwoo, they're doing the same moves, but in different directions, kind of like Team A and Team B. With Seungyoon, it's like they have to step on each other to win, that any help can't be fully accepted because of the competition. Really wonderful storytelling!
since 5 years ago I've been interested in team B, the six of them have stolen my attention. until this moment I'm proud to be one of my favorite fandom "iKONIC" 😍😍😍 but I also love them eleven since they were trainees. WINKON fighting !!!

I can't bored of team A dancing even after 9 months I keep wanting it . Their dancing is just perfection . And seunghoon really perfect cheorgrapher . I love this team cuz they can put their emotions in everything they do singing or dancing really deserve to be the " winner "
Jamie Cullum (the one who sang team A's dance song) tweeted team A/Winner's performance...that's why I came to watch it and it amazes me to see such a unique dance from a kpop group, I was expecting the typical energetic swag dance most kpop group dance but these guys surprised me, it was indeed refreshing from what I use to see from kpop groups. plus their song, go up sounded really well composed and professional. I'm greatly impressed

Can we all just take a second to admire how much of a genius Seunghoon is? When it comes to dancing, there are several people in Team B that have dance as their specialty, and they would occasionally use some choreography from other groups (not hating on Team B, I actually really like them). On the other hand, Seunghoon is the only real dancer in Team A, and he had to come up with the choreography all by himself. Seunghoon is just phenomenal and I hope he gains much popularity when WINNER debuts. :D
yes yeeess i really admired their dance the first time i saw it i was like "damn o_o" with my mouth open because that's art D: you could FEEL the dance i can't express it better, but you can tell the dance is not just steps here and there that match with the tune, no, their dance tells a story and conveys a feeling and that was awesome. hands down.

Team A definitely wasnt given enough credit for their dance. The choreography was beautiful. It was a culmination of all their heartfelt emotions, passion, and conveys their story; the struggle to achieve their dream. It may not have been as in ur face exciting and loud as Team B's but it was just as powerful if not more.

I 100% agree. I actually got a bit teary-eyed at team A's dance which I did not expect lol. Definitely felt closer to dance as a form of expression than team B's... I felt a bit like team A and team B switched roles. Team B's dance was cool, but I felt like they wanted to look cool (like how Team A used to dance) and some of it was stuff I have seen the teams do before in this competition. In this round, team A's dance won for me, just because it made me feel something and it felt sincere and authentic. And that made me not want to miss a second.

I can't believe how underrated Team A's dance was. Yes, Team B's dance was VERY impressive. But the whole hardcore badass hip hop choreographies have been done way too many times. Team A's dance was very unique. It had a different style. It combined both jazz and breakdancing, and it had so much feeling behind it. The boy's movements and facial expressions said more than a thousand words. The choreo was truly a masterpiece. Mad props to Seunghoon.

I have to agree. Winner was VERY underrated and even after they won, I still think they deserve more than that. This show made me feel really angry. Everyone (2NE1 especially) seemed to be soooo biased toward Team B that I feel mostly pity for Team A. Dara's comment about Team A's dance made me angry. Her comment was too general, and not intended to praise the group. When in my opinion, their dance choreography was a lot better than Team B's. There's a story behind the dance and the feelings they portrayed were heartfelt. I've been a fan of Seunghoon since Kpop Star 1 so I know very well how great he is at making choreography and dancing. And I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed watching Team B's performance more than Team A sometimes. They were awesome and fun (I loved their previous performances), but in terms of grouping, Winner was a more suitable group to debut. I just like seeing them more. They looked 'in place'. Each and every one of the members of Winner took a spot in my heart, and I think that's why Winner won the Viewer's votes. Call me an idiot, but I watched till the end of WIN and I still can't get the names of the members of Team B right, except for BI, Bobby and Jinhwan. Those three were the main faces of Team B anyway, while the rest didn't get that much spotlight. Donghyuk did get some recognition because of his abs and his BBQ party, but the rest? Not so much.
It hasn't been long since Winner debuted and now YG is planning on debuting another boyband by hosting another survival show?! This made me feel AS IF yg has been planning on debuting BI, Bobby and Jinhwan (or Team B) in the first place (before WIN), but he didn't know what to do to Team A, so he made WIN, in order to eliminate them. Turns out they won, and YG has to do what he promised. Now that he fullfilled his promise of debuting them, he went ahead and made another boyband. This is just what I feel YG was doing, not that it might be true. But still. What the actual fuck.

I can guarantee that iKon would have rather won WIN and debuted rather than getting another survival show a year later to try to make their debut. Besides, the deal was "loser disbands or gets reorganized" which they did with the new member, it was the fans choice to keep ot6 not his. YG would have debuted WINNER exactly at this time if they had lost considering the profits and fans. Do you really believe that he would have had Team B compete with Team A considering how much of an advantage Team A had with fans if he only wanted Team B to debut. This was all done for hype and to determine the order of debut. There's nothing wrong with wanting more for your artist, but what more can be given to them in their first year of debut when they've already had a reality show and performances with Big Bang?

Justice to team a's dance hahaha but srsly, that choreo was too great, you can write a novel about that dance, all the moves are relevant,even that part when hoon touched the floor, still got me some feels. From 1st battle with BB and 2NE1 judge, I start recognize it how their dance have a great tempo and get into each beat from the song. Maybe not perfect at dancer level but they are always have another new idea to put in their dance, include how imagine story from the song transform to every moves as dance. Its just amaze me and I still remember this performance and their 2nd battle dance with school story. While team B so perfect on dance moves and their high energy, I love it. I'm just looks like silent and stunned with their performance but time after time, totally I can move on another and not remember what exactly they did before. I just know and remember that team B are great dancer and always have fun peformance, love to see. While at team A's dance, till now I can make memory about their dance that combine with the song, my mind just like rewind all that memory for their performance before.

I'm so impressed of how Team A improved. Instead of trying to beat Team B, they finally created their own image that Team B cannot surpass. Team A already looks like an idol group now. Team A's dance was beautiful, full of artistry and creativity! I love the parts with Seunghoon dancing with Jinwoo, then with Seungyoon. With Jinwoo, they're doing the same moves, but in different directions, kind of like Team A and Team B. With Seungyoon, it's like they have to step on each other to win, that any help can't be fully accepted because of the competition. Really wonderful storytelling!

Jamie Cullum (the one who sang team A's dance song) tweeted team A/Winner's performance...that's why I came to watch it and it amazes me to see such a unique dance from a kpop group, I was expecting the typical energetic swag dance most kpop group dance but these guys surprised me, it was indeed refreshing from what I use to see from kpop groups. plus their song, go up sounded really well composed and professional. I'm greatly impressed
