I'm a commited Buddhist and have been very inspired by Quakers I have met and talked to, and by the various Quaker beliefs expressed in these videos. The Quaker approach to business and ethical consumerism in particular resonate with me in a big way. The more I learn about this faith, the more interested and inspired I am by it.
Quakers were so advance to its time in the 17th century. Great way of seen things, no oaths, democracy. Everyone can be a word giver. I am catholic but I see more sense in Quakerism
i have been looking at all these quaker videos. amazing! However, I think quakerism is not as new as one might think. Their beliefs or the fluidity in their beliefs reminds me a lot of gnostic christianity, which dates as far back as the the 1st or 2nd century.
Except Quakers do not tend to hold to gnostic beliefs about the evil of this body, this world, this life: we believe that living well in THIS world, bringing the Commonwealth of God's Peace to reality in this world, is the essence of a spiritual life - the spiritual and the material are linked in us. In fact we think of our faith and practice as "Primitive Christianity Restored" -- all the rest in the apostasy got off the track (about 200). I think that we've returned to Rabbi Jeshu' the Jew.

Grow up.
