Hi. Nice little video, cleary showing the basic steps of the firmware update procedure. My only comments would be: 1. Unnecessary to "format" the card in the PC first, and then again in the radio. The radio will wipe & format the card correctly, without the PC step. 2. Unnecessary to do a radio "RESET" after the update is completed. The updating procedure actually resets the radio upon completion. You'll notice that the radio shuts down upon completion of the file install, then restarts. This is the "reset" being done. No harm in doing it again, I suppose. But nonetheless, an unnecessary step. 73, Alan W0ARM
@@DarrenN4VFR dosn't matter your not running the file only copying, and mac is compat w/almost all formats certainly all the windoz ones.. no worries there try it one day. works on my 101 and 9000mp etc

Capt Darren. Good afternoon sir I put a 64 GB sd card to format inside my Yaesu 101D and it says sd card error. Should I get a lower SD card gigabyte such as a 4 GB SD card or it doesn't matter?

you can use the mac. for the upgrading. etc.
I'm not sure however, the files that Yaesu puts out does not have the DMG install files. They only publish Microsoft Windows compatible files.

Alex, 32gb is the max you can use.
