      Thank you so much. It’s a typical make shift garden, the owner uses whatever he can find

    Thanks for taking us with you. Did the bad winters we had in the last two years affect his garden?

      Good question. All the melons, squash, okras, beans, sweet potatoes, and annual vegetable are started from seeds each year. The cold did kill all the papayas. It did not effect the Asian pear trees as they are cold hardy and need chilling hours in fact. He lost some citrus and hasn't replace them.

    I think we also have these types in Sri Lanka. And that long variety I think can be eaten in a 🥗 with coconut shavings, green chili, lime and salt.
