i heard about the defense health set on padme instead, but you would also have to start modding the rest of gr for defense. Also Revan and the gang are very special offense oriented which most of gr have very little resistance/defense for.
Also i get what you mean for vader but you made a point about how you want to not rely on landing crits with vader bc of all the crit avoidance, then you also shouldnt rely on winning speed battles with Poe/Finn bc they should naturally win every time, what i think you should maximize is offense and potnecy,so even if you dont land critsyou still do good damage and the more you lands dots you get extra damage.

Does the modding for Padme apply to General Kenobi as well?
How do the numbers look if you change the speed set to offense? You lose 12 speed and gain how much offense I wonder, have you tried this approach?

My vader ,I could almost say we are in agreement but I went fro. A different angle .I have potency sets with hi-speed secondary, offense cross protection circle,and protection triangle

Does JML's inherited teaching's damage based on his max protection take into account mods? I heard some abilities that are based on "base max health/protection" do so before mods. Is this true? Thanks!
I heard from Fatal that base comes after mods, but doesn’t include like the basic increasing max protection.

Padme caught my attention and I was wondering what is the reason for the decision to put Defense mods on her? I assume the math behind this comes from the calculation sheet that Bulldog made - which is fantastic, but if this is the case I only see the reason to put defense on her to increase her relative survivability. If that is the case, I agree. However, it won't benefit protection up which is based on the actual health of Padme, whereas defense sets "only" increase the relative health.
There have been many great examples with calculations done on reddit way before bulldog put out a spreadsheet. To summarize, if you take less damage with defense mods it also means that your protection up will last longer even if the amount of added protection is lower due to lower health. You can make the same calculations you do for effective health for "effective protection up" and will get the same results, that defense mods are better.

You guys aren’t wrong, but there’s one flaw in your logic... less protection up means less courage. If you want Padme to last longer, go defense. If you want her to hit harder, go health.
@@briangaudet3400 Since she's more or less support and healer/dmg engine at the same time I'd go for survivability all day :)
@@briangaudet3400 You don't get it. Stacks of protection up are always relative to health. If you have 1 Prot Up (10%) through e.g. Padme's basic it will result in 2 stacks of courage whether you have e.g. 100k Health or 200k Health.
Yes, one will have 10k Prot Up and the other 20k but that doesn't matter for courage because both times it's 10% relative to health = 2 stacks. If you now have incoming damage, it is equivalent whether you double the Prot Up from 10 to 20k or whether you slice the incoming damage in half. Of course my example numbers are arbitrary but if you plug in actual numbers you'll find that defense from defense set decreases the damage more than health from health sets increases the Prot up.
You could make videos like this for every character and everyone would learn something. Going to apply a lot of these ideas to my next full remod

I've been modding Badstila a little differently: around 270 speed with offense mainly. My DR has my best speed set (+170) so he usually can fear the entire team even they are for most of them faster than Bastila. Then they miss the turn and Badstila apply Corrupted battle meditation for their next turn. Ferocity gives high crit chance, so offense makes her hit like a truck.
In mirror match that wouldn't matter though of course, fastest Bastila making the other team unable to land debuff whatsoever.

Also, not really sure about modding Wampa with a Crit Chance triangle. . . Wampa gains quite a bit of TM on his basic and he gets to his Roar pretty quickly, which increases his Crit Chance by 40%, Accuracy by 40% and Offense by 40%, so I'd argue a Crit Damage triangle would be more beneficial. Especially if you use Wampa with LS Basti, when Basti calls her assist, Wampa gains Crit Chance Up and that's already 25% Crit Chance.

I spent last night remodding my Mando with full CC sets ... so yeah, no arguments there.
The Padme one though ... it's not that I don't believe you but I'd love to see those numbers! That just seems so ... odd ... -- actually the Vader numbers too -- the defuff over crit sounds right, but again, numbers would help.
Though the thought of remodding my Vader *again* does not make me happy.
This channel needs to embrace its inner math nerd ! :)
One last thing, and as this is the interwebs I have to preface it with: absolutely not trying to start a fight, nor steal credit -- but where do you stand/sit on potency on Grievous (It's Just Ian was arguing in its favour)? Previously I'd gone full health sets, health primaries but again, last night, I found myself sticking a health cross with potency on it and I'm almost tempted to stick a potency set on him.
This is all in the context of target locks and especially using him to counter CLS teams.
Keep the health he is much better with as much health as he can get if you are worried About his potency keep the potency cross on him

For Vader I'd say you should favour a health circle over a protection circle as he recovers health from dots expiring. I'd agree that offense/potency are more important than crit chance if you're looking at TW/GAC where you might see Rey with Holdo. For arena you won't see that comp though as most people still run Rey with Jedi. I don't really like the idea of using a speed set on him though, an offense set with good speed secondaries seems much more preferable.

@@Xaereth I had a look at yours. Ironically my vader with his offense set is 2 speed faster, but has less offense than yours due to be being R5 xD

An important thing to note is that how you mod a character can vary depending on the character gear/relic level, the team comp you are using them on, if you are using the character on offense or defense, and even the squad(s) you intend to counter with them.
Another point I'd mention is that Zeb isn't even the scariest member of the Phoenix team when using a Wampa solo. Had a really bad experience one time a few years ago with a Zeta Sabine who managed to apply 6 Exposes and Stagger on my Wampa. . . was lights out right there after the next hit.
Awesome video yet JML should be a whole video on his own. Not many are using his lead and unless his paired with wat I wouldn’t mod him for protection. Currently the main concern for JML users in arena is SEE and modding JML for potency speed and offense works way better against him. I run him under JKR lead in arena and potency really makes the difference against SEE plus the damage output is quite low when fighting him in ultimate stand.
Defense Sets with Relics are def more solid, even for a character like BSF who has terrible Armour, so yea, good recommendation for Padmes with Relics.
Vader is dependent on how you use him. Your mods are great for how you use him. Some people will disagree. More Crit if you are not focused on Rey. Vader is not clear cut but this is a good conversation.

Yeah for the vader as others say it depends on how you're using them, and also how much (or how lucky) you've got with mods. If you have the CD or offense set that is almost fast and has high potency and high cc, then hell yea, but this is a more reasonably reachable route. Trying to work on my vader mods, currently a CD set but it's a fast one. :)
Nice I have 2 potency sets and two crit chance set ( one with crit damage) and he has 130+ potency (very useful against BS teams)
