To put my mum into a care home cost £834 a week, will the government pay me this much to house , I doubt it very much. Labour is a joke.
I heard this suggestion a long time ago. Instead of paying the care homes eye-watering amounts, pay a family member a minimum wage to look after their own. It would bring down the overall costs, plus make more space for the elderly people who need genuine medical care. It would also put more money in the economy since family members will spend the majority of their wages in the local community.
My neighbours father is in a £1,400.00 a week care home....

No migrant will set foot on my property. I paid a mortgage for years to house myself. MPs have second and third properties paid for by their expenses so they can easily house migrants.
