I have a question, what's the different between usage present continuous tense to talk about near future plans and present simple tense to talk about something that will happen in the near future?
@@florencelee5385 Oh, I see. Well, the safe and more correct one is "Lisa is arriving on Sunday." You will hear english speakers use both. Both can be correct. The reason both can be correct = you are speaking of a fixed timetable/schedule. Schedules can use present simple. for example, a plane arrival can use present tense. "Lisa's plane arrives on Sunday. So, we need to clean the extra bedroom. I will pick her up at the airport."
I am a university student yet I have never seen a better place to study English online especially for me, I have learned a lot here, I am very grateful to the dear teachers who gave us the opportunity to do something in a modern online way to learn. They are all my English teachers for 2 years and now I am one of the best English language students at my university. Robin Shaw, Fanny, Sara V, Lynn, Esther, Molly, Bill, sarah , nicole , Brittany, Chidinma
Esther you are the top teacher on RUclips. Your videos helped me a lot. After watching your videos I have found much improvement. I can't Thank you enough!!❤😘
Good afternoon Ma'am. Ma'am my question is why there is none defenite time at the beginning of a sentence in the present continuouse tense? For example: At 6:00 in the morning Mario is drinking a coffee.
Good evening teacher. Is this sentence is correct using present continuous? If not how could you correct it? Ex: At 6:00 a.m. Allan is asumming duty and responsibilities in his office.
It is a little awkward sentence so I will do my best. I put it in two grammar forms. At 6:00 a.m. Allan is assuming the duties and responsibilities in his office. At 6:00 a.m. Allan will assume the duties and responsibilities in his office.
Hi Esther, how's it going? I'm starting to enjoy your lessons. I'm learning a lot from your lessons. Are you a native English speaker? Where are you living? I'm not giving up. Thanks again Esther, I see you in the next video😉

I am preparing myself to meet my friends tonight. I like this lesson so much. You are totally awesome Robin and Esther. You always give us an awesome information. 😍😍I love you so much.
Thank you very much for the lessons. Can you use both the present simple and the present continuous for an action taking place in the near future ? Is there a subtle difference that'll make you use more one tense than the other in this situation ?

you don't use simple tense to talk about something that will happen in the near future.
present simple tense is for habits/routines usually. Can you give an example?
@@chicago2598 "lisa arrives on sunday" and "lisa is arriving on sunday" so which one is right?
