So something i will say is, if the road block gets too big, i have no qualms about seeing so.e CHIMPS Ultimate (CHIMPS+++) with towers that you've already beaten CHIMPS++ with before the CHIMPS++ series is completed.

I turned 43 this year, so take it from someone who can speak from experience. Mellowing out is just a part of getting older. You've seen more, you've done more, you've heard it all. As you get older and older, fewer and fewer things are novel, but that's not a bad thing because you've gained in life experience in return. Another phase in mental maturation. It's a pretty decent trade, which is good because there isn't really another option. 😂
Regarding Inferno Ring, if you're not buffing it, its usually better to get extra range as that also increases the pierce cap for both the meteor and the main attack. Doing so prevents things like 15:03 from happening.
From what I’ve seen the 502 is almost always better, the +300 damage from the bottom cross path is too good to pass up
Also 18:42 Edit: meteor kills Moabs, it's not about how much extra damage, it's about hitting more than 1 Moab instead of 1. He could kill all 3 ddts but instead kills 1 at a time and lets 1 by
@@Elkay26 When you're dying to being overwhelmed by DDTs, which will die in one hit to a 520, no. It's better to do 1400 damage over two DDTs than to do 1000 damage with 500 overkill to one.

Best way I've found for tack shooter starts is actually to have two unupgraded ones right next to each other, in such a way that they have a synchopated firing (the bloons come into the shooter's range at slightly different times). This gives you the coverage to insta-pop two or even three layers of bloon.
If u start with extra cash u should pay it back to keep with the challenge

Maybe instead, start with 215 extra, then get a 0-0-0 dart away from the track to pay it back
I think the "Chimps with only" and "Chimps+ with only" made a lot more sense, since the easier tracks to make even the weirdest (a.k.a. awesome) things work, but now that you have entered the advanced maps territory the whole concept needs to be kind of visited.
I'd say allowing yourself to use the basic support that is appropriate for the tower type you use would make sense. Towers that don't have camo detection should be allowed some sort of extra decamoizer or detection granter. For primaries, using a top path village is just the right thing to do (I mean, come on, the whole "primary monkeys" deal is only balanced if you include at least a primary training in your build). Alch and overdrives also feel like they should be fair game.
OTOH, I'd avoid using 5xx village or subs since they do steal a lot of pops from other towers, and I definitely wouldn't allow using Geraldo. Not that he is too powerful (TBH, he probably is, but that's ok I guess), my beef is that he definitely steals the focus from the intended tower to his own abilities. Basically, every single game involving Geraldo tends to become all about how to use HIM effectively while any other tower kind of ends up "supporting" him (which is weird, as he is technically the one doing the supporting, but in practice you end up building your whole defence *for* it to work with his buffs rather that the other way around). Case in point: every time Geraldo came to the rescue for a "Chimps with only" game, you basically played the exact same meta-strategy (spam bolts, time camo potions, keep bolts for lvl13, time genies for DDT rounds...), the only variation being the name of the towers to receive the same buffs in the same order. I'd rather watch an interesting game with creative combinations and each tower being used to the best of its abilities than being stuck with a rerun of the same playthrough over and over.
TL; DR: Geraldo is fun to play, but boring to watch after the first few times.

I think you should do a series showcasing every path of every tower without using exclusively them in chimps. Use that tower with some support and synergy options that work well on an advanced map (or if you need to intermediate.) if you can buy the fifth tier in chimps you should (barring extreme cases like super mines, really anything above 100k.
4:50 for stuff like this, a fair rule would be: have at least 2x the extra starting cash left by the end of the game
also a 0-0-0 ace for 865 can actually get quite far in early game chimps (-650 = 215 extra starting cash)

So, just to clarify, maybe there’re some theory crafters here - would that be more beneficial to have tack zone on the bottom and inferno at the top, so that projectiles of the tack zone connect more? And also get 5-2-0 instead of 5-0-2? I feel like that would improve things a lot
the tack zone is much better when below the track
The fact that he spammed the malestorms instead of upgrading the top hot shots to an inferno ring hurt… the lead Bloons kept blocking the tack zone

i've also noticed that playing on doule speed usually results in bloons surviving thongs they shouldn't because i feel like the animation and hit scan of the towers ends up beign slightly slower than the speed of the bloons. at least that what it seems like.
You might be my favorite RUclipsr, you just feel so much more like a person than other RUclipsrs. The way you are just so honest and not afraid to talk about yourself and your real problem’s and I think it’s just so refreshing too see an actual human being instead of someone playing a character on here❤

ik im late but, for the tack shooter 0-0-2 is the best start and as you progress 3-0-2 and then 4-0-2. its extremely strong early game and most the time is enough to get a hero and farm. a lot of times this is my go to early game strat.
i feel like in the second run maybe you could’ve spammed a few top path tacks (you had $12k), maybe you could’ve saved the genie? but yeah, ig it’s just a lot of work doing that

Hi SJB! I wonder if you would be willing to redo CHIMPS+ self-made challenge with helicopters and Striker Jones. It’s a fun synergy because Jones allows the help-pilots to damage black balloons including the DDTs.

Not using the abilities when off cd is bad, you could easily spam the blades every round, the big one twice per round. Just use it, your tower still work in the background, its not like you waste any damage. By being afraid of having nothing ready and wasting dmg, you actually wasting damage and have nothing ready

Chimps++ with tack shooter? I've stopped using my favorite tower when I moved on to intermediate maps. They're just not super suited for it, and it makes me so sad. If you can beat this challenge, then I will have hope restored
