new pick ups sound way better, im wondering if its missing a bridge ground wire as there is still a bit of noise from touching, try putting a bit of copper tape between the bridge plate and the control plate to see if the now low noise goes away and if it works you need a wire from the bridge thimble to the volume pot or in your case the bridge and plate are so close together you could easily hide it without removing thimbles.
IMO absolutely worth it! The difference was both in the clarity of sound (which I think comes across on the video) and in the feeling and touch sensitivity, which can't really be quantified on a youtube video XD. Be advised that depending on the replacement pickup you might need to tinker with the wiring of the slider switches. I had to move the pickup grounds from the switches to the back of the volume pot to reduce 60-cycle hum. good luck! let me know how it goes!

Sounds awesome after the swap! 🎉
Hey I have the same guitar and also thinking of changing pickups! Was it worth it?
