I love & respect Reggie at a huge level, but right now Haliburton is doing something for this franchise that no former player has ever done. He is dropping Magic Johnson level stats and carrying this team.
@@sharpjm85Yeah...no doubt he's a better player but he got that same energy and effect on the home crowd. That ferocity. Did you see how he was punking Dame the whole game 😂?
They called 2 travels in a row on McConnell(spelling?). One you couldn't really see as he was trapped I think? But the other they showed a replay of and seemed like not a travel. Gather and 2 steps. Crazy to see 2 travels called back to back on a dude and then his teammate took 5 steps between dribbles and nothing
NBA doesn’t call travel on its stars anymore simple as that. Also bad for the game, creates a double standard that drives fans crazy and creates resentment towards the nba
He traveled once. On the actual step back. You might be thinking he traveled right before that when he shuffles his feet, but (and for some reason a lot of basketball fans don’t know this) you can have as many steps, shuffles your feet as crazy as you want in between dribbles.
I have never seen coach Griffin press the opposing team, which they should have done being down with 2 min. left in the game, nor should they have played zone for as long as they did in the 2nd half before going back to man to man at the very end, where they collapsed to the Pacers offense. Also, why do coach Griffin’s eyes always look like a deer in headlights on the sidelines when he makes adjustments? The Bucks need to develop the chemistry between Dame & Giannis on offense and put them in actions where they capitalize from each other instead of isolating each of them with the ball in pick and rolls with Lopez or pick and pops with Beasley. They have got to be in better sync with each other by the design of the coaching staff. Hats off to the Pacers, the most exciting team in the NBA right now. 🎉
Props to Haliburton and the squaaaaww but I have to say, I saw him carry/travel a few times on his hesi step when watching it in slow-mo. The game of basketball has changed completely with no travel/carry/double dribble calls ever.
It is a different game from decades ago I am not sure it is better. When I played in the 70’s and 80’s if you put your hand under the ball and then continued to dribble it was a carry; It was called every time

Middleton has no business bringing the ball down. the Bucks have DAMIAN LILLARD, the reason he was brought in was so that he could carry the bucks in situations like these... but they don't even let him touch the ball those last 2 minutes. This is all on Coaching plus Middleton making his usual mistakes every game
It's Middleton thinking he is more than he really is. He stuck in that championship year. When you have a 7ft unicorn and Damien Lillard. And I'm not even a bucks fan
I'm not really a fan of the tournament thing BUT...as a life long Pacer fan, if this experience shows the Pacers they can compete with the best in the NBA and helps them "turn the corner" from also ran to real contender, then I'm ok with it...
Bucks had no game plan. Poor offensive Rebounds, picking up the ball to early and not enough movement. I think even the Rim was against them that even their soft touch to the basket was spinning out.
0:40 What is Middleton doing. Turnovers happen, but not getting back after your own turnover?? His man was the one that got the putback. Dame did everything he could to stop that break. Middleton giving up on the play erased Dame's effort.

I care zero about the NBA since the spurs and the NBA gave LB that championship in Miami, I don't watch the games I just look at replays
Dame is scared to shot, that's new to me. His team didn't trust him though. I'm confused their job is to play basketball, but sometimes they don't know the basic fundamental of basketball, such as how to dribble the ball.
Right like I don’t understand how people are saying he’s the next this and that when his game isn’t pleasant to watch. He can obviously play but like watching him play with that jumper of his is 🤢
