Always enjoyed Chi Chi putting on a show, especially with a putter. Not many in my age bracket who haven't copied Chi Chi's antics after sinking a putt. The hat was style! So happy you were able to interview him. Class act... and my favorite golfer. Sad day, but what a great life lived.
I met Chi Chi at the Champions Tour 3M Championship in Blaine Minnesota over 20 years ago. I got his autograph. Very colorful character, he cracked me up. He called me Jesus because I got this big huge beard and I had long hair at the time. Then he said "Bless me Jesus, I got no money today!" as he signed my hat and moved down the line towards the clubhouse. Then he signed another hat and said "Hey, you people are keeping me from the bar, man!" Everyone was cracking up. He made me laugh so hard my stomach hurt! What a guy, I just love the man. I am very saddened by this. We'll miss you Chi Chi!

I loved watching the Senior tour with my grandfather back in the 80’s. Watching these guys was special and it’s sad to lose them 😢
