Things may 'seem' to be returning to normal in the Western world but exactly like HK, restrictions were relaxed and now coronavirus cases are rising more than ever before.
We really need a vaccine, it seems to be the only hope now 😪

@@Taylor_R Hey I have done some research on this vacinne and a lot of things seem to concern me. I am not a medical expert, just studied the science but things like they are not studying on inert plasma. An RNA vaccine will reprogramme a humans DNA. Any complications from that vaccine cannot be treated as the problem will now be part of a humans DNA. EU recently relaxed GMO laws for vaccines to speed up testing and research. etc ... Not that I want to scare anyone but I could be wrong but maybe every country needs to look at how the virus is spreading and start doing more of what they did at the start of pandemic make sure those who are infected stay at home and continue to put in stricter places for longer. I dunno this whole vaccine thing just concers me. Anyway's thanks for everything you have done over the years. I am sorry for everything HK is going through right now, girl I feel your pain. Maybe if you are at home more now you and tom could do a mukbang video. Look after yourself, we just need to take each day as it comes. xx

@@TheSwauzz No we are not. We never crushed the first wave. The cases we are seeing now are a continuation of the first wave because many states opened back up too early. There are only a few states that successfully flattened their curve and those are the states that took the most strict measures.
NGL but we're up here watching you guys from Canada and praying every month they keep the borders shut. I have a lot of friends stateside and it's scary as F watching whats happening down there. I hope and wish somehow it gets better but theres this constant wall blocking the way for you guys and it's hard to understand WHY people don't want to beat this thing. My province has low numbers but the fear from people coming in from Washington and bringing it here was very real back in Feb/March. Stay safe everyone and wear a damn mask!

Hi Taylor. I feel like I’m losing my hope here too in the UK. I went out today for the first time since 16th of March. My partner and I both wore our mask and we were the only ones! Everyone else was staring and laughing at us. They weren’t social distancing at all. It seems like everyone here thinks it’s a joke and doesn’t seem to realise that about 50,000 people have died here already! I have no immune system so I’m worried about my health and can’t see how things will improve if people won’t respect the rules!!! Watching your videos has been such a joy, Thankyou ❤️

Hi, I hope you're doing OK right now (as well as the world is letting us be) Thank you for opening up, I appreciate how vulnerable and honest you are. This whole Covid/ lockdown thing we are in gets to me sometimes too. Especially how quickly it changes and how much misinformation there is. I feel like I can't do anything I used to, or if I do something, people are saying it's wrong or right. There's so much uncertainty in the world and I miss when things were more reliable and predictable. Take some time off when you need to 😊 and focus on little things that make you happy 😊

so true what you said about turning 30! Everyone makes this big thing out of it "your life will be over when you are 30" or "you need to do this and that before turning 30" blah blah blah... reality is: 30 is so damn cool! You still haven't figured out life and I doubt it's possible to figure it out, but just going with whatever comes your way and making the best possible experience out of it is really not what I expected, but exactly what I and a lot of my friends got. It's like someone pulled the plug on the sea of toxic shit the world made you believe for years and you can just be yourself instead of trying to be someone you aren't.
And hey, you are not alone in a new lockdown! It seems everything is opening up but Central Europe is still vary, sometimes cities are going into lock down again, everything is regulated and many countries still have strict measures in place. The grass isn't greener, nothing is normal, schools are open but only half a class is allowed to attend for a few days until they switch with the other half and so on. We are all in this together in different stages. This will pass.

Don't tell anyone but...I'm...60! Feel exactly the same as I did when I was in my 30's. Pretty much dress the same, etc. The trick is to stay healthy. "Old is the Goal!"
I legit feel better now at 30 than literally ever. When I was 20 I thought I'd feel like shit with each year passing and tbh I did feel like that. Too much working and being sad because I was poor, I was unloved, I didn't like myself, I literally didn't know if my life would ever change so from 24 to 29 I was a total NPC in my own life story lol. I took some action and made a few choices when I turned 29 and now I'm happy finally.
Ofc there are still a lot of things I crave and maybe I'll never even reach them, but I'm becoming more accepting of my life and personality and much more indipendent and self-fulfilling.

It's wild that 1778 is the highest number of cases they've ever had. It's wild that it's being treated so efficiently and competently over there. New York has had 218,159 cases (86 new cases in Queens alone a couple days ago).... and we're considered one of the better off states and slowly reopening. Don't look up florida statistics unless you want to really lose faith in Americans forever.

From the queen of fashion I'd love to see how to make a mask a bit more fashionable. We will most likely be wearing masks a lot more so if someone had a special occasion or just wanted to dress up it'd be cool to use the mask as a safety measure and as an accessory. I was thinking of getting a elastic mask covered in sparkles to put over my black mask so I can express my personality a bit. (I'm the only one who has been wearing a mask in my town but it's being made compulsory on Thursday even military are coming in to enforce it. We are only in our second wave but I'm hoping with people being forced to use common sense it won't last much longer. We are all in this with you Tay. Thank you for giving us some entertainment during these hard times.)

VPN is illegal in some places, China being one of them. Not sure about Hong Kong but there is a chance it is illegal there too.

@@daniellehenderson6906 In china i wouldnt say its illegal there is literally NO LAWS for VPN and nobody ever charged because of VPN here. All foreigners or people/locals who have been exposed to outside countries are using it. Companies are using it too (foreign and local). Its very common to have VPN and government wont check everyones phone just because they have it. The government will make it hard for everyone to access to VPN because sometimes you cant even download them when you are in china especially when theres big day. The people of china choose not to access to vpn because they dont really find it helpful. Majority of chinese dont speak english so there is no use to have instagram, fb or youtube. We are not like NK. My friend got her phone checked at the immigration security because she wanted to extend her visa and they wanted to see the proof that shes been travelling in all part of china. They never commented about her VPN. She got her visa and her vpn and everything are still there.

Some other content that I’ve seen which might be interesting and fun to film is: doing make up in red light, eating only one colour foods for 24 hours (so if you chose purple you can only eat purple foods for the day hahaha), rating HK snacks, maybe trying unique ice cream flavours (once lockdown has been lifted again), home decor tips :)

For us, the virus has made my state close down for the second time. It has been exposed that more then half of virus cases reported are other illness and not COVID, soooo....... yeah.

I myself used to be one of the foreign girls, married to an Asian (but I am back to Europe now), so I can relate to your moods. I was an actress and journalist in Seoul (worked for the Korean TV - SBS and KBS mostly) while studying there and yet I would feel so lonely sometimes. Melbourne, Australia is in second wave and we have mandatory mask wearing so I feel you girl. Seems like things were finally starting to get normal then all of a sudden 300+ cases.
As a viewer, I actually really enjoy seeing people’s entry into a new world or a new topic, so maybe research videos would be a fun escape as well as fun to watch. Your video on the coronavirus was really informative and entertaining, even though it wasn’t a fun, lighthearted topic. Maybe you could do something where you learn about things you’ve always been interested in and document what you find out and how you learned about it. It could be called edu-Tay-tion or something like that.
Hong kong foods vlog would be nice. I know every region of China and Hong Kong and all that stuff has regional specialties.

Just wanted to clarify, since I am in HK too right now - there is no real lockdown. At least not to the extent of lockdown implemented by the UK earlier. Restaurants are closed at 6pm, but open for takeaways, yet the atmosphere hasn't changed drastically. Or as drastically as you say... So I'm a bit confused to find that you're saying this when malls are still open, shops are open, and I'm not sure where you're coming from. I agree that it is scary, but it seems scarier to see how lightly people are/were treating the situation. I also am quite confused with the comparison with Western countries, as cases there are still increasing (some sites indicating around 600 cases in the UK, and almost 60,000 according to Google in the US). The western world opening up is due to pressures of the economy, and yet has done nothing to secure the health of its citizens.
I wonder why people think it's scarier (or scary again) when it was already and should have been considered very scary to begin with. Don't get me wrong, there has been an incredible spike in cases... but it was by no means over just because it eased up earlier.
Yes I know there isn’t a lockdown, but most things are closed up again and cases are on the rise so we should stay home as much as possible to stop the spreading, similar to the beginning of covid- but this time it’s worse because there’s more local cases without trace and it’s rising rapidly. I don’t know I just felt like we got through it before because it was 0 for so long (not that I stopped being careful) and now it’s worse than ever. I do feel that the atmosphere has changed over the last few days with the new government regulations. Also there’s many other things going on in my personal life.. so this is just weighing even heavier on me and I’m really worried. Sorry it's getting worse again in Hong Kong. Looks like most of Europe is slowly opening up again, but only because a) it's been closed for so long and b) we are finally at a point where we can have local lockdowns, with tracing and lots of testing, etc. I am glad that here in England masks will be mandatory in indoor spaces soon, hopefully it'll bring a change in peoples attitudes - because it often looks like people have forgotten we're in a pandemic. I wish people were more responsible. Stay strong, Tay. It is not an easy time. I feel down a lot too, today was the first day since February that I've been outside of the city I live in. I miss my family abroad. We'll get through it together

Hey girl, I’m sorry you are feeling down being on lock down again but I am glad you are healthy. I haven’t been able to leave my place since March because the US is just letting everything spiral out of control. I just focus on the things in front of me and remind myself that this is how I stay healthy and safe. Hang in there :)
