I very much appreciate that you went through a tools list, its crucial to any DIY and a lot of guys making these videos don't include the tools list. Thank you so much.
I have a 2009 R6S. I'm told it's the same body style as a 2005 R6. The previous owner even got plastics that were designed for the '05 R6 and they fit my bike perfectly. Anyway, I never needed to remove the knee faring to get the gas tank up. Just FYI. Great video. Very helpful. Thank you.
Nice dude. I havent bought a bike yet. I usually sell the end of summer and buy right about this time. Looking to have another r6 in the next couple weeks.
What is reason to replace air filter? my bike is now at 10k miles. since i got it from the other owner, i did oil change. Brake fluid looks dirty but pad is good and i don't feel nothing wrong with the brakes. What else do I need to change on mine? The past owner told me, he did everything at 5k miles. I have 2006 R6

Thanks dude!
Does anyone know if you have to use the original filter cover. I have a k&n and unlike bmc one isn't supplied.
As you can see in the video, it wasn't too dirty for 15k miles. But I figured it was time for a new one anyway.

video a little shaky but good instruction. you should of let your "assistant" hold the camera for you. :)
Very nice..
yeah very helpful !!!!!!!
is your new air filter - K& N?
Yep. "Raul's Wild Kingdom".
That line about teaching poodles how to fly is from the movie UHF with Wierd Al.
make more vids bro!!!
Didn't you have a charcoal `07?
No-frills stock.
60 degree weather coming this week!
The movie UHF?
Thanks, that helped. Is it just me, or are the screws you have to punch in to the K&N filters a pain in the F'n Ass?!
I have my dog with me when I'm working on t
My r6.. haha thumbs up
Last time I worked on my bike with my dog, all 65lbs of him tried to jump up on my seat. Nearly knocked it over onto my car.
This video would be perfect if it's not taken against the light. Good Job tho
What kind of dog is that?
UHF!
UHF.
keep riding that wheelchair lol
