The fact that MLB left out the view of laureano clearly going around, and making the M's/dylan look like the fools for that HBP call is laughable. One of the worst calls ive ever seen.

It's objectively a bad call by common sense, but the review rule doesn't let you take into account a swing or not. That's a loophole thelat needs closed but good on Vogt for knowing that

Not calling the obvious strike 3 swinging on the "hit by pitch" is truly awful Umpiring. There's zero excuse not to notice that he fully swung around there. Hopefully it's not a sign of things to come in this series. Julio was inches away from a highlight reel home run robbery.

I like Ty France' approach at the plate this start of the season. He doesn't go for multi base hits or home runs. That's the approach that he should
always have. Dominic Canzone is slowly coming up. What a great three run home run. This youngster is the future of the M's. His compact level swing
is something that you have seen before from hall of fame Wade Boggs. Emerson Hanckock is showing some promise as a starter. He only gave up three
runs against the Guardians who are off to hot start shown against Athletics. The M's are on the right track with this kind of offensive production, Julio catching
everything in sight and great pitching staff.

You can try to argue otherwise, but the Mariners so far are both fortunate to have a winning record & also continue to perform poorly in March/April regardless of whatever seasonal variables you may think are in play. They are lucky they have a good/great pitching staff because that is what is driving their team performance - not the hitters.

I actually think Julio was safe at the plate. The tag was made at his neck, but his foot had already touched the plate by that point. Also, by rule, if the player swings through a pitch that hits him, it is a strike. That means that those two runs should never have happened. That changes the complexion of the at bats that followed. Perhaps the pitch sequence on what became the home run doesn't happen for Cleveland. That one blown call was basically responsible for the entirety of the Cleveland scoring.
