I listened to this song on acid with my boyfriend this summer and it was absolutely incredible. We were listening to it on repeat before the trip, but on acid... the song obliterated me. I had visuals of me and my boyfriend on a blanket in a green field looking up at the stars. We got smaller and smaller, farther away really, until I was looking at Earth from space. Then it was just me, floating through constellations. From the blackness of space, a colorful tower of stained glass built around me from top to bottom, piece by piece. The stained glass extended from the walls to create a floor beneath me. The floor pieces merged in the center of the tower and built a block like one for an art display in a museum. From the top of the the block the most vibrant red rose sprang up, and in an instant it withered and crumbled into the block, which also crumbled away. The crumbled block turned to ash and the floor pieces fell away, turning black and grey as they did. The shattering and discoloration of the structure travelled up the walls until I was in void again. In that moment I felt blissful and content with death. I was reminded that both love and life, although ephemeral and full of hardships, are so beautiful and precious.
