I’d bought a can of the melamine lacquer and my first attempt wasn’t great - then I found this video - so am off to try again. Thanks for a clear and simple demo of how to use this stuff properly.
Superb video... can't understand the popularity of CA finishes...too messy and takes away the feel of the wood. Your technique was so much nicer and gave great results! Thank you sir!
I love the simplicity for this finish. I have used ca and hate it... it takes way too much time messy, and need to dismount and use special plastic ends so it won’t stick to and if u Polish with water it frequently gets between the ca and wood for a mess. I am in America and will need to look for Yorkshire products or equivalent , but am anxious to try this finish. Thanks for taking the time to make this vid...

Hi Dan, That looks a really nice finish. I normally use a Super Glue finish but I'm going to give this a go. Great video and take care. Cheers, Huw
Wooden-It-Be-Nice give it a go. No stingy superglue eyes with this finish.
Great demo, I’m just letting mine harden now, before I burnish back in the morning.

Nice demo Dan 👍... Cheers....
Thank you mate
Great tips thank you for sharing
Debbi Beardall thank you for watching. I hope it was useful.
Good demo. Thank you
Simon Rourke thank you Simon
Thanks for the video Dan, would you recommend the melamine finish for shaving kits too then?
Over CA without a doubt. It is not water proof but stands a much better chance in a bathroom environment.
Great video, how many coats of melamine lacquer were used?
Fam Hodkinson we normally do about 5/6
Is this finish only suitable for wood or does it work well on hybrid and acrylic aswell?
That’s a good question that I don’t have an answer for as yet. I will test and let you know.
@@TaylorsMirfield Great. Amazing video by the way. I was looking for a simple alternative for CA or wax finish. Can't wait to try this out
@@TaylorsMirfield How did the test go? Does it work with resin too?
