Tbh, jeep could cut the price by 10k and you could give me 10k to buy a jeep, but I still won’t buy a jeep since there’s always something better (and safer) than a jeep 😪

    • @springertube
      @springertube 4 months ago

It's been the answer for a do-all car for some time, right under Toyota's nose. If I recall, there were two original/older Camry wagons, the late 80s and mid 90s gens, the latter of which had a "different" reverse-swept D pillar, a style that didn't endear itself with customers or media at the time, but in hindsight that distinctive design and its quite effective dual wipers in back (most modern SUVs could benefit from for much better coverage) seem quite charming. It also didn't help that Toyota didn't sell it in its otherwise extremely popular top luxe XLEV6 or SE sedan trims, so it was seen as just a basic suburban grocery getter.

Well done. Lots of good points. And thank you for being honest about nissan. Nissan has some reliable good vehicles, at a good cost. People over look that because theu think all of them habe a CVT. They dont. While toyota keeps blowing up the v6 turbo tundra, nissan has been making 6 cylinder turbos sonce the 1980s and done them very well. That armada is a highlander killer. And if the titan was still out. That same motor would habe went into the titan. The titan would have been the better buy amd more reliable than the new tundra. Huge miss by nissan. I get it. Only north America had the titan. Nissan needs a better marketing team

  • @biarritz84

Buy a Nissan Frontier is my recommendation even if you're not really into trucks I don't think you can go wrong with it. The Camry is a bargain but they just sit way too low for me, I'm 6'2 & don't like falling down into a car seat & struggling to get back up out of it so I would prefer something that sits higher so I would buy a Frontier & put a topper on the bed of it.

I test drove an XSE in the spring and was taken aback with how cheap it felt. The first thing I noticed when I got in and closed the door…it reminded me of my ‘88 Corolla. When I got out of the car and closed the door the door skin visibly wobbled! The driving experience was less than stellar. The Accord drives way better. The standout characteristic of the Camry is the mpg. Reports say owners constantly in the 50s. Why buy a Prius? The Camry is way more car for less $$

The best time to buy is when you need a car (not just want a new car).

Kirk, I’m a 60-year-old, recently retired man who purchased a 2025 Camry LE with the cold-weather and convenience package as my first-ever new car. I love it except for one thing: after driving for two hours, the seat feels like I’m sitting on a boulder. I’m having a bit of buyer’s remorse. I have muscle and neurological problems. When I did my test driving, the seats were great, but I drive from New Jersey to Florida a few times a year to visit my brother. Ouch! I’ve purchased eight different types of cushions, but they don’t work. I would gladly pay to have the driver’s seat removed and replaced with a luxury one, but all I run into when searching the internet is seat cushion/skin replacement. That wouldn’t help. Is there any place you know of that would actually replace the seat with another one?

You said Camry LE for $25-27k. Was this 2026, or 2025? I don’t see any 2025s on Toyota website

We finally got a car yesterday-a 2025 Toyota Camry LE Hybrid with 17K miles. The listed price was $24,390, and the final price ended up at $28K. I’m wondering if that’s a good deal, considering I live in the Bay Area, California.

Just remember that it was the Reagan/Bush administration that pushed for the original NAFTA agreement and the Chinese most favored trading nation status, and that the Republican leadership pushed these items through Congress.

What a pity a Democrat President signed NAFTA into law.

Id buy a Camry if it didn't have a CVT, so going to get a Mazda Saturday

eCVT ≠ CVT, No belts pulleys or belts to break, just an ICE engine, a pair of electric Motors and a planetary gearset, no transmission shift solenoids or torque converters, mechanically simpler and more reliable.
But yes a traditional auto will be more engaging to drive. Wont be as smooth or potentially drone like a CVT.

I disagree, the best time will probably in a year, when Toyota updates it with Arene. At least I hope so, cause I really want to buy it, but refuse to do so with outdated infotainment.

Camry will get Arene at least in 2028.

@T@Toyofana Corolla got new multimedia system in 2022, while full facelift still happened in 2023. I believe in Arene in MY2027

@GrzegorzMikos That would be great, but when I researched that possibility about a month ago, it seemed for the new Camry that might take longer. But I also love to see that happen ASAP.

I have a silver Camry XLE. And I have a 2026 Tesla model Y. I will never buy a Camry again or any other car that is not a Tesla. People do not realize how superior the Tesla model Y is. FSD is mind blowing.
