Firstly i want to say it's a off topic.
I am from the country name Bangladesh. Recently i am using a Samsung Galaxy A5(2017) phone. I am writing with this phone. But it is too much painful. The touch & display of this phone gone really poor. It is to hard for maintaining these quarentine days without a good phone. Some parts of my phone allready damaged. I have not tasted any GOOGLE phone yet. I dreamed about google pixel 4xl. But there is no store of google in our region. Some unofficial phones are available here. But too much costly. As a student i have not that much money. Otherside, the situation of Bangladesh is going down for the pandemic.
So, i request to the google company. Can u please send me a google pixel 4 or 4xl as a love/gift in Bangladesh. It will be really helpful for me.
      My gmail address is anikdass2016210175@gmail.com
If you can then please, let me know..
      Thank You.

Most phones in that category don't have free buds or cases. It's just sad. The lower on the price range you go the more bang for your buck you get. It sounds like it makes sense, but the fact that you spend more to get less is insanity.

@iGMX iGMX lol... Smart phone batteries last an average of 1 to 2 years before you have to start charging mid way through the day. Some phones after 2yrs won't last 2 hours of on screen time before it needs to be plugged into an outlet. The Nexus6P with the new battery lasts me over a day. I saw that people were shitting on the battery life and subsequently taking it back because they phones optimized after the first week and the battery life improved. I just received my Pixel 4 XL yesterday and I decided to use it until it died. 16 hours off of the charger (clearly made it through my work day), and it also has 7 hours and 10 minutes of screen on time. I'm really confused because that battery life is incredible. And my battery life hasn't even been optimized after the first week like people said. I don't know how they were using the phones, but I got over 7 hours screen on time. I'm really not concerned about the battery life.

I think the 90 Hz above a certain brightness threshold makes sense because it wouldn't be noticeable anyways due to OLED's PWM at lower brightness. In other words, the 90 Hz would be refreshing the screen while the LEDs are turned off.

I'm keeping my 2xl because it still works great, but I'd buy it over any other phone out there if I were upgrading. @@Andrew-it7fb Lasting longer ? Doesnt really seem to be the case mate , i have my very first galaxy in the draw from 2012 and it still works fine , it did 2 years hard service with me , and then 2 years brutal service with my little brother and survived that , (and he gave it back when he upgraded because i loved that old phone ) , i still i give it run every now and again today ,
my note 4 did still get a 498 meg update at 3 years ish old just prior to me dropping it and killing it while riding my bike ,
my S8+ is still getting security updates at 2.5 years old , it has a headphone jack , an sd card , it even shoots 4k video on the selfie camera which the 2019 pixel 4 xl does not !
I might add my S8+ had 15 hours more battery endurance than the 4 xl , pixel 4 xl better value with less features , less battery life ?

  • @Ems601

I just purchase Pixel 4 XL direct from Google. They had a $200 off promotion, plus I got $79 Google store credit for a future purchase (maybe some ear buds). So my cost for a 128GB version is in the mid $700 range,
I'm coming from an international Galaxy S8, and need a dual sim. Choices for dual sim in the US are very limited. It came down to ordering an international phone to get a dual sim S10 or Oneplus 7T , or going with an eSim from google or iPhone 11 plus. I also gave a lot of thought to the Nokia 7.2.
We give a lot of +'s to phones with wireless chargers given how my two small kids treat the phones when they are plugged in, so the Nokia and Oneplus 7T were downgraded. I did like a lot of the hardware on the Oneplus, but eventually decided that ordering international plus no wireless were too big negatives. For a while I thought the price advantage the OnePlus had on the Pixel would be a factor, but Googles sale eliminated that.
I was unsure about the eSim, but my wife wanted to go the iPhone route for pictures, and her eSim worked well.
    My positives so far
    1) Price nearly half the cost of the high end iPhone. Still looking for feature that can justify that expense.
    2) Fast face unlocking. Love it!
    3) Lasts more than a day (Its at 25% when I go to sleep) and will charge in an hour with the 18 watt charger. Who cares if some are faster or last a few hours longer, as I don't see those adding any added value.
    4) I've tried the always on 90hz, it does drain the battery faster, but for minimal extra user experience.
    5) Pure Android experience. Love it.
    6) Dual sim (eSim) works as well as two physical sims.
I would suggest to GSMArena they add a metric for customer service. Something like an average time it takes to speak to caller support. The average taken by calling at some # of different times.
When I set up my eSim at the T-mobile we called Google support and were speaking to someone in less than 30 secs. Very impressive.
I'm still learning the camera, and can't wait to try the night sky photography.

It takes 2D photos, doesn't mean it can be fooled. The illuminator throws infrared rays at your face i.e. 3d face, while recording the face or unlocking the phone. All in all face unlock has always been considered as a convenience feature and less of a security one, given pixel team did such a bad job that the phone can be unlocked while your eyes are closed. Can someone tell me why everyone is stating that the battery is not adequate? I have had my Pixel 4XL for the last few weeks, and I am easily getting two days of use before charge. I converted over from the OnePlus 7 Pro, and have to say, I prefer the battery life of the Pixel 4XL. I did not do much to extend battery life. I did drop from 90hz to 60hz, but that is because I simply cant see the difference, so why use the extra battery? Also, have a dark mode turned on, but thats it. I was so worried about the battery life that I turned off the motion sensors for the first few days, only to discover after I turned them back on, that it didnt wast battery life.
Could this have been fixed with an recent update or something, or has the average life of a cell phone jumped to more than 2 days?

I definitely wouldn't recommend the Pixel 4 at launch, but there's one thing that reviewers consistently overlook. Predictably, you can get deals of $200 or $300 off around Thanksgiving. Couple that with the trade-in value giving you usually at least another $150 to $250, and that makes the Pixel 4 a steal. I'm getting $500 Google Fi credit plus $250 for my trade-in. That effectively makes the price of my Pixel 4 XL around $250.

  • @androidstud
    @androidstud 5 лет назад

Nice review I think it's a good device where it suffers is price and storage... 899 for the Pixel 4 XL should have been 128 gigabytes of storage and if you wanted to upgrade they should have went up to 256 for $999... Phone should not come with 64GB... That's an outdated storage capacity in my opinion... The lack of wide-angle camera on the device is also a miss by Google... Where it shines is still pictures still the best... Upgraded software and Google assistant and the face unlock is really good... I love the design also very easy and fun to hold I really think it's the perfect size device. And the white matte and orange matte are awesome. I really think if Google would of priced it at $799 or even $849 for the Pixel 4 XL 64GB... 699 or 749 for the pixel 4 64GB...They would have been in a better place with consumers and reviewers.. overall still a good device I do really like it just overpriced and lack of storage options camera options make it suffer a little bit especially no 4K 60 on the rear and no 4K on the front

Look if there's anything that I've learned over the last 2 years is that tech reviewers are feeling increasingly isolated and neglected by Google's design choices....and it pisses them off. They feel this way because (sometimes arrogantly so, and sometimes ignorantly so) they want to think theiir opinion mirrors the purchasing public. Because let's face it, if that wasn't the case, then it theatens their very existence. The problem, however, is these tech reviewers simply do not represent the purchasing public and the drive-by readers/critiques simply pile on and were never true purchasing power consumers to begin with, so their opinions are meaningless. Quoting specs, hardware design, etc mean very little to the average consumer that knows a great experience when they see/feel it. I think Google knows this. Software makes the experience, not hardware folks.
Bottomline is that I no longer look to tech reviewers for advise or recommendations in my yearly smartphone upgrades.
My personal experience with the Pixel 4 XL's battery is better than the Pixel 3 XL. I get through the day easily and am always near a charger whether in the car, home, or office. It's simply a non-issue.
