Really Law & Crime? You need to do your branding of your logo smack dab in middle of screen? It’s distracting and you do not get facial expressions at times when important.

This judge just repeats himself over & over & over saying exact same thing.

Can’t you do logo in upper right? Left? Lower left or right? 😩

I don't agree with the family being allowed to go back and thank the jury. No reason for the judge to recuse but i hope he will take the criticism on board. If those jurors sit on another trial i would worry that such an emotional conclusion may affect future trials. It just seems different if they meet singularly in the hall or something.

Agree with you 100%. It is ludicrous for that to have happened.

I dont disagree however I have seen and been apart of this happening numerous times. Sometimes its actually in the halls outside of the court room. Others it's in private. Agree or disagree with the practice it's not unheard of. Jurors will give interviews it's not new.

Great points .....however the trial is done and over. This is a great way for the jurors to have a bit of emotional closure. A heartfelt thank you goes a long way. The whiney killer and his defense team has had too many priveledges already !! There has to be a time that good people have rights too.

I understand it may sound strange & respect your opinion. However, I don’t see anything wrong w/allowing the family to thank the jury. Their role in the case was 100% done, so it had no impact on their decision. The jurors were told it was their choice whether or not to meet w/the attorneys, family or media. Additionally, this trial lasted over 6 months, which is much much longer than 99% of all trials. The jurors invested their time, their ability to make a living & their physical & emotional energy, to ensure justice. (Regardless of which way their decision went) If I were a juror, I can’t imagine anything I’d appreciate more than being able to meet & talk to the family. But of course, that’s just my opinion & not meant to say your opinion isn’t reasonable too. Hope you’re having a lovely day in the UK.

Everyone involved is a private US citizen. The defense doesn’t have to like it but the jurors and the family can be best friends if they want. Had the jury hung, the defense would have wanted to talk to the jury to see what happened in deliberations so they were ready for the next trial. No one has ever complained when that happens. Jurors can give interviews when they’re done, disappear or talk to the victims family. Merritt is reaching and I understand why, his life is over, but he needs better game. No judge will overturn on a technicality when two toddlers have their skulls smashed. But Chase has probably done this his whole life. He BSs his way through his failures, scams and thefts.

it's so hard to sit through merritt's lawyer b.s. wth??? he goes on and on with nothing to go on! the jury decided, dude. deal with it. and not by only attacking the other lawyers. what a schmuck the dude is. of course, merritt wanted this dude. no conscience. guess what: it's the right guy. merritt's guilty and it's been substantially proven.

merritt's lawyer isn't that good. after listening to him: naaaah, he's not that good. well, who would defend merritt? this might put the lawyer on the map--but it's not for a good reason. he lost. so self-interest goes out the window.

This is what a fumbling, train wreck of a defense looks like. Geez Louise, what was Merritt thinking when he started making accusations against Mr. McGee? As annoying as that attny was, he was leagues ahead of Maline. And now Merritt’s faced w/the decision of having Maline as his appellate counsel or obtaining new counsel, which would require an enormous amount of time to become familiar w/the entire case & trial. What a mess.

i can really admire merritt's lawyer for talking mostly about how he utterly hates to continue dragging the mcstay families through tremendous pain, over and over again!!!! NOT.
Dude! you lost! pick up your balls, and go home! move to florida if you want to win an obviously guilty case.

@lawandcrime. What can someone do from the public to help with this obvious injustice. I am outraged by this trial

Is the judge really even competent to sit in the bench. He can’t even control his. Our groom. Prosecution was a bunch of juveniles. Look at Rodriguez. Reading while the judge is talking. Get a backbone judge. They are stepping all over you.
