I'm pretty sure the orange knob in the FX section isn't the input to the FX, if I understand correctly it's how much FX is output to Aux 1 if the Aux 1 button is selected as an output for the FX. Unless I've misunderstood something here.
Thank You very much for Your clear and easy to understand Tutorials. This was the reason I bought a Model 12. I am Musician from Germany playing Keyboard and singing Evergreens, Oldies, Blues & Rock with my Friend who plays Guitar and sings. Hope with the Model 12 we can do nice recordings and become famous 😂
Greetings, You mentioned that when record arming tracks and recording as normal with the model 12, it is always recording on the mains (11 and 12) automatically as well. My question is, is this recording done pre or post fader? And so I know I understand, essentially if it is pre fader, the pre amp levels would dictate the recording mix right? And if its post fader, it would record the exact mix that was being monitored out of the mains from the faders? Thanks for all of the awesome Model 12 knowledge, top tier content!
There is a button labeled "POST REC" above the Main fader, this changes 11/12 from being recorded pre fader to being recorded post fader. However this is only pre/post of the main fader itself, not the individual channel faders. So either way it's recording the whole mix, but with POST REC activated you could (for example) record a live fade out by bringing down the main fader as you record the mixdown.
Using the internal FX is not recorded onto the individual tracks, just on the main bus (CH 11/12). On playback from the MTR, you can change and apply different effects.

You are correct. My bad.
The Aux 2 bus level is to the right of the channels. 🤪
Thanks for these tutorials. They are much clearer and easier to understand than the user manual from Tascam.

This video was great. I ran into some trouble fully understanding the aux and effects sections. Anything about that is super helpful!

This will be explained in part 4
Is there a way to only MONITOR the Reverb while tracking? I only want the reverb as Comfort while singing. Thanks 🙏 #TascamModel12
