    Peter hasn’t stoped fasting. He said he isn’t doing it as much. I don’t care what anyone says…. Fasting saved my life. I’ve been doing it before it became a thing, I have been doing it for 19 years. I’ll never stop.

    Embarking on the OMAD diet has been the most transformative decision of my life. It's hands down the ultimate method for shedding body fat, with no other approach even coming close. The results are truly unparalleled!

    People are negative on fasting because it is free and works. When you fast you realize how much food controls you.

      Also because many are too weak to handle it but don't want to admit it to themselves so they attack it. Same reason people attack fitness in general. Projection of their own insecurity. Like all the people out there today saying "when you workout, if it hurts you're doing something wrong" they can't handle a real workout so they cherry pick science, twist things around and make themselves and others believe that you're actually supposed to not feel any pain when you workout lol.

    I feel like everyone is missing the point of what Kyle is saying. He's talking to the people that are obese, over weight, high bf%, need to lose 50+lbs. He's not talking to people that are 10% bf with a 6 pack trying to build muscle lol. People that are 30%+ bf have more issues to be worrying about than losing a little muscle lol.
    Fasting is life.

    Growing up poor and not being allowed out of the house in the neighborhood I was in I didn't know that people ate more than once sometimes twice a day, until I got to first grade when everybody had lunch. My mom didn't like that the following summer that I learned about everyone else was eating three times a day and this was many many years before they started having that summer program where you could get a free breakfast and lunch from the school and here I am in my thirties eating 2 to 4 lb of food today within two meals, and I do one extended fast, sometimes two, on the weekends

    I did the 6 meals a day thing and I hated how hangry it made me. I had great results with extended fasting. I went from 189 to 128 within a year. My blood markers improved. I didn’t feel deprived of favorite foods, etc.

    Good to see Kyle Newell as a guest. I knew him for over 10 years. Sometimes train at his gym. Knowledgeable dude. Has passion as well. I agree with a lot of what he said here about fasting. Especially for endomorphs who put on fat easier and have a bad relationship with food.

      It's easy, just, adjust to your schedule but, as a guide, eat a meal at 12PM and then a BIG meal at 4PM, and then keep busy the next day and it will be 4PM before you even notice, cook, then eat at 5PM and you've just done a 25 hour fast (somewhat technically)
      Well done and good luck.

    They are having trouble accessing nutrients from the their Blood stream because they do not have any Available because of high insulin, this is why cutting carbs and IF Fasting will eventually fix this problem, but will take time and you may have this KETO OR FASTING FLU SYMPTOMS until YOUR BODY CAN USE YOUR OWN ketones.

    If you have a lot of muscle and are physically active i cant comprehend how less than 3000 calories would make you put on fat. Im physically active all day and weigh about 205 mostly muscle and I have an extremely hard time putting on weight at all. I have to dirty bulk HARD to the point that its painful. There are nights I'll eat 2 containers of ice cream, not the little cylinder ones but the big rectangular tubs.
    I found a strategy where i wait til i get thirsty at work and then start drinking a bunch of chocolate milk. Then at night consume THC and get the munchies, cram as much calories in as I can then wake up once or twice at night and drink a boost protein shake. Then ill put on a little bit of fat but then 1 24-36 hour fast a week burns it all off.

  • @stackerstrong
    @stackerstrong 7 месяцев назад +1

    I think there's sort of a happy-medium to fasting. I see the value for extended fasts but I also notice that, for myself, when I extend it TOO far, I will overconsume heavily once I break it. Almost like the "opening the floodgates" mentality. (Yes, i understand that this may trigger a bad relationship with food / binge, restrict, etc.) I also notice a huge energy crash when it starts to get over a period of time. If you're morbidly obese, sure, use it. But for fit individuals, I don't necessarily see a point in constantly pushing this for extended periods of time. Like everything, USE IT AS A TOOL.

    I can commit to a 72hr fast each week..mixing up the days etc..but what about the basal metabolic rate once you stop?? Won't your body just start storing fat like a mad man! I have an endomorphy/cursed body type so I'll store fat more immediately than the other body types.. but thats now my concern especially in my 40's. Can anyone else empathize anecdotally speaking?

    Immediately know someone is a quack when they claim "he/she didn't it long enough". Fasting is a greay tool to get you into a caloric deficit, but people who are natty and do it long term will lose muscle if calories aren't equated. Also, those who fast often move less on average which leads to muscle loss.
