Kyle makes a good point. If Biden supporters believe that democracy is on the line, then shouldn't they look for a stronger candidate to defeat Trump? Before you say anything, please note that I wouldn't even call myself anti-Biden. If I lived in a swing state, I'd vote for Biden over Trump in a heartbeat. However, I consider myself pro-logic, and there seems to be a logical problem with the Biden supporters' reasoning.
Biden already beat Trump once. That's one fact that you can't argue with. The logic at this points dictates that polls this far out are meaningless. It's not to say they can't remain the same or get worse, but shifting strategy from an incumbent to some unknown, and fracturing the Democrat party in a campaign year to find a replacement for Biden is not a good strategy. It could end up sticking Democrats with a candidate who can't beat Trump. There is no easy solution. But the logical choice is the uncumbent, considering he already beat the frontrunner once, and he isn't disrupting government. Polls are not really giving us a good idea of the average voter, actually faced with the choice between Biden and Trump on election day. People polled are just giving their ideal response, and the fact is, Joe Biden is old and isn't giving people hope for the future like a young Obama did in 2007. That doesn't mean voters won't make the right choice on election day between Biden and Trump. Now if the matchup is between Biden and someone else other than Trump, then it's hard to say. At this point, money is on the matchup being Biden and Trump.

It's not just happening with Dem officials, it's also unfortunately with a bunch of the voters as well. I'm not going to pin the blame on the electorate for any for a candidate's performance in an election or on the job on the voters in the way we've seen from a lot of these Democratic officials, but the problem we are facing is WAY too many voters, particularly older Democratic ones, absolutely adore Biden. In almost every poll done of Democratic voters Biden has overwhelming support from older voters over 50, and if you ask them about replacing Biden with another candidate a good 75% would quite literally react the same way she did. They stick with him religiously almost in the same way Trump's supporters do. Ironically it seems to me like the Democratic party is playing by the same rules as the Republican party in that they are doing whatever they can to keep from upsetting that segment of the Democratic base. For the Republican party it's running freak show candidates, and for the Democrats it's stick with Biden, a candidate who would pretty much lose to almost any opponent. At the end of the day it's the older Dem voters that are the most loyal to the party and will not only reliably vote blue but also vote almost 100% of the time with their specific picks in primaries. While they have enjoyed support from minority communities, they see his numbers going down the toilet with those communities as whole segment. When you break the numbers down by age, however, even with the numbers spiraling as they are older voters in a lot of those communities still have almost absolute support for Biden. The problem here is even with that support from older Dems there are WAY MORE Republican voters who would die on a hill for Trump vs Biden. The only way to truly break them away from either candidate is for them to have something like a medical emergency or, in the case of Trump, they are imprisoned. On the flipside of things however, those Dem voters are truly ride or die for any candidate and would vote blue no matter who. We need someone who is a bomb-throwing outsider with high popularity and an at least somewhat progressive agenda willing to defiantly buck at the party insiders to enter into the Dem primary and really give Biden a challenge. If that person can manage to energize young people and yank in the disaffected people who supported Biden in the past at a high enough rate, they may break through and gain enough momentum to either push him to step aside or beat him and become the nominee. If that person were to win the primary it would probably be over with for Trump because they'd get renewed support. Even if they lose, if the pressure is enough to get him to drop out and have someone else step in like Newsom it would at least give Dems a better chance of beating Trump since so many of the voters wouldn't be as turned off. Someone like John Stewart would probably be able to pull that off given his history pushing for the 9/11 and military burn victims bills, but that's not going to happen unfortunately.

Stupid has spoken.
its not about whether they deserve to win or lose its about the outcome. you vote for them because it reduces harm and maintains the environment in which it is possible to work outside of elections to push progressive policies and candidates. its not about whether the democrat earns your vote or deserves it you vote for them because the outcome is better than the alternative, that's what "earns" your vote what will actually happen as a result of the election not how you feel about the candidate. gay people continuing to be able to get married and have kids, trans people continuing being able to exist at all and women keeping access to reproductive healthcare are among the many, many very real material consequences of a democrat victory that will affect millions of lives every day, get over yourself and vote.

Logic? Who needs logic when you're grifting....?
For who? Kamala? 😂
