I honestly love riding at the You Yangs and checking out cool tracks. Me and my fam went to check out black Dimond and it is really beautiful but my uncle cut his hand open on a rock lol
If I went to You Yangs, which single black diamond trail do you think is the easiest??? out of the blacks... I have ridden some pretty tech blue trails in NSW, but based out of melb now and probably going to try You Yangs soon... but wondering which black trail should be the first one to try there. I'm probably better at tech, than jumps :)
Late reply here but you want to ride the Stockyards side. There are plenty of trails like Trav's there that don't require you to do jumps. Cressy's Descent probably has the most jumps.
Yep for sure. Go out to the Kurrajong Plantation side. No rocks and chill, flat trails. I did a write-up on the Youies here including maps: longandwinding.com.au/trail/you-yangs
Any advice for taking the rock berm’s (on an anthem advanced) for a ‘black’ beginner? I know I’ll be taking the clipless pedals off next time that’s for sure....
Ha, that's me you pass at about 1 min. You were flying. I'd just bashed my shin into the pins on Cressy Descent. Good day out there.
Haha so funny! Ouch, Cressy is pretty wild. It was a good day alight - dirt was in good shape. See you on the trails :-)
terrific video mate. Have only just discovered you. You make it look easy.
Thanks Tom!

Ouch, tough luck. Can't wait to get back out to the Youies
Omg you actually replied and liked my comment. I just came across your channel and I’ve gotta say I’m a big fan lol. Love watching your vids
Cheers!
One of the blokes got spooked 😅😅 I live near youi's might try lactic acid next time
Hamish:The dirt is pretty grippy
Not even 10 seconds later nearly slips out
You are verry fast, nice job!
Thanks!
I can’t believe you cut out the clam at the start of boulder 😢
Sick vid though man, you sure it’s not on 2X speed? 😂
Hugh Duncan ah soz. You can’t show everything I guess... thanks for the feedback!

Reckon the green trails at the youies would be fine on a gravel bike? Think I really just want to avoid rock gardens.

Long and Winding ace thanks!
Mad stuff!! Can you do a bike check video? :)
Cheers Luke. I did a review of my Scalpel Si here: ruclips.net/video/G0IcRRM6MSE/видео.html
And he did it all on a lefty.
Lefty's are great!

Treat them like a regular berm, but with less grip. Keep relaxed and central on the bike and keep momentum up
Long and Winding I’ll give it a go next time
Good luck!
Hey man I’m just starting to Mtb and don’t know where I should go to in the gorge could you give me some ideas
g.co/kgs/9ZdAZC start there and head past the water tank. There is a nice loop starting with the trail rusty tin track. Download the trailforks app
Thank you 🙏
just rode that track
What bike are you riding
See my bike check here: ruclips.net/video/G0IcRRM6MSE/видео.html
is it a big climb from the parking lot?
Not huge, maybe about 300m long?
@@longandwinding thats not to bad, cheers
I bet you there’s a bunch of guys that come here on their dh bikes and they can’t go as fast as you and they’re jealous
Haha thanks buddy
Awesome video!
But the color-grading is a bit off in this one.
Yeh I was still working it all out haha
Not carrying enough speed ? You’re flying mate .
Haha thanks Joseph. Love the Youies!
Yeah amazing trails there .
This has to be the Safest way to do this trail.
Watch Others!! ahahaha
Haha agreed. Risk of injury dramatically drops when sitting on your couch vs a saddle!
