Honestly, there are some songs that excel on both sides in my opinion. For example, 2.5's Sinister Sundown Vim and Vigor, 13th Struggle, Monochrome Dreams and 13th Reflection are really good step-ups to their predecessors as "remixes", but others like The Encounter, Working Together, Old Friends Old Rivals, and Desire for All that is Lost are better as their originals than their remixes (with The Encounter being favored as BBS' version than either). It's all my opinion.

Why did they change this in 2.5? It's good as is.
A lot of 2.5 songs sound better remastered but the battle songs are WAY punchier and intense in MIDI, it's not even funny.
