I think it's kind of funny actually. This reminds me of the story about the band continuing to play music as the Titanic sank. Portland is a dead and rotting corpse of a city but they still think people want to visit.
I thought they developed that out into condos...? Oh...that was the OTHER golf course...courses. I guess since it's the *Portland* Classic they can't have it at an actually nice golf club like Oregon Golf Club because it would seem weird. Honestly, since it's the LPGA and not ALL of the PGA complaining and it's OREGON, I'm just going to say this is an interesting intersection of the application of the misogynistic tool of the fragility of women intersecting what's probably a rejection of the LPGA to play in, and I quote, "that sh!thole for one more year". Seriously, if you're coming to Oregon and expecting an experience like you are getting everywhere else YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED REGARDLESS OF THE POSITIVITY OF THE OUTCOME. and good luck trying to FORM Oregon in to what you want it to be, even if you were born here. This place is hella resistant to change, for as progressive as the media wants to claim it's supposed to be.
